As the old saying goes, people who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones. In House Democrat Adam Schiff’s case, people who lie every time they open their mouth shouldn’t accuse other people of lying.
Not to mention, people like Schiff should not accuse anyone of covering up, or obstructing justice. Poor form, Adam. You being you, I mean.
Still, during an appearance on PMSNBC’s “The Rachel Maddow Show,” Schiff was all high and mighty as he torched President Trump for commuting the sentence of longtime friend, confidante, and advisor, Roger Stone, as reported by RedState’s streiff.
“Another bully attack on the rule of law. There are two systems of justice now in America, one for the criminal friends of the president, like Michael Flynn and now Roger Stone, and one for everybody else.
It wasn’t enough when the president intervened, and Bill Barr intervened, to recommend a shorter sentence, for Donald Trump. They now had to take action — the president had to take action to make that sentence go away completely.”
“This is part of the broad pattern of the president,” Schiff said, “rewarding his friends, and potentially the more serious shoe to fall, punishing his enemies.”
Setting all things “potentially” aside, to hear Adam Schiff talk, Donald Trump makes Richard Nixon look like a Boy Scout.
Commuting Roger Stone’s sentence is a terrible blow to justice and the rule of law.
Through this act, Trump is saying: “If you lie for me, if you cover up for me, if you obstruct for me, I will protect you.”

Here’s the thing. Given Schiff’s job as chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, none of us can know what Schiff knows when it comes to what goes on in D.C. and what does not — including who’s lying about what, when, or whom.
Here’s the other thing.
Richard Grenell, former Acting Director of National Intelligence (DNI), knows a thing or two about Adam Schiff’s relationship with the truth — particularly when it comes to all things national intelligence.
As luck would have it, as acting head of DNI, Grenell had access to everything Schiff had access to — and more — regarding Trump and Russia, and everything else to do with, again, national intelligence.
So how kindly did Grenell take to Schiff’s dressing down of both Trump and Stone for their lack of “truth-telling”? This kindly:
. @AdamSchiff publicly said he had overwhelming evidence of Russian collusion but because of classified information, he couldn’t share the evidence.
He lied. Completely lied. I saw everything. He should resign in total disgrace. https://t.co/6xzBWgfr5u

Politics aside, Adam, that was some pretty strong incrimination from Richard Grenell. He saw what you saw. And he said you lied.
You made the claims you made, time and time again, as you continually trotted yourself out before the cameras and pretended to have the smoking gun that would finally take down Donald Trump. Again, seems to me you lied. “Bigly.” According to Richard Grenell, anyway.
This was not Grenell’s first rodeo with Adam Schiff.
As RedState’s streiff wrote in May, Grenell, then acting head of DNI, told Schiff, in effect: Release the hidden transcripts — purportedly containing information about “collusion” between the Trump campaign and Russia — or I will do it for you.
(Spoiler: there was none.)
It was perfect. Schiff knew there was “none.” Grenell knew there was “none.” And Schiff knew Grenell knew there was “none.” Game, set match. Final score, thanks for playing.
So the question is, why should anyone who values even a modicum of truth listen to Adam Schiff about anything he has to say?
The problem with smart people is, they sometimes think they’re smarter than everyone else. The problem with Adam Schiff is that, as well — along with the simple fact that he just can’t seem to stop lying.
Adam Schiff accusing anyone of lying — much less for political expedience — is like Michael Moore accusing a marathon runner eating a bran muffin after a long race of overeating. Stop it, Shifty. Just stop.
