Tim Tebow Makes Powerful Plea to Senators, Displaying Map of Child Abuse Across the Country

Former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow has spent most of his time since retiring from the league fighting for children who face abuse throughout the country. He has been raising the warning flags for years, and now, he showed up in Washington, D.C. to speak directly to the senators.

On Wednesday, he made a plea to senators to pass the Renewed Hope Act of 2026. Here is what Tebow said, in part:

We are losing the battle, and we are losing the war, and boys and girls are suffering for it ... Every red dot that is on there is someone that is downloading, sharing, or distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

55 percent to 85 percent of them are also hands-on offenders, and we know that your average offender has thirteen victims in their lifetime.

The scale of harm right here in America is, to a certain extent, hard to comprehend, but that's why we're here.

This is a big problem in America, and it is way past time for Congress to address it. CSAM is impacting millions of children. It is estimated that 1 in 20 boys and 1 in 4 girls in the USA will experience sexual abuse before they turn 18.

Tebow joined "The Ingraham Angle" on Fox News on Tuesday and had this to say:

Laura Ingraham: What needs to happen to stop this and to track down the identity of those perpetrators and the victims?

Tim Tebow: A whole lot needs to happen. I would say number one is that we got to create a bigger army that is fighting this. Right now, at C3, the cyber crime center, they are just some of the best in the world, but there is only 10 victim identification specialists there, and you're telling me that it's 10 people's job to identify 89 thousand. That is impossible for them to do. And they are the best. I was there this morning. They are incredible. I love them so much, but we got to create a bigger army that is trained with the right technology, and equipped to be able to fight against this evil. ... A few years ago when we were testifying that number was at 57 thousand. Now it's at 89 thousand, and that's with thousands of boys and girls that have been identified with the amazing law enforcement...

Ingraham: Do you feel that God is calling you to fight at this moment on this, and do you feel the forces against you?

Tebow: Yes, and yes, but I also would believe this would be one of the biggest reasons why I'm created. With the little strength that I have wasn't to carry a football but to be able to lift up these image barriers of our Creator, and bring them to a place of protection of hope and love.

Tim Tebow is the true definition of "More than an Athlete" because he puts others, especially children, above his achievements. He is a staunch Christian, pro-lifer, who has thrown a red carpet event to humanize those with special needs and children with disabilities.

He is, overall, a great human being, trying to get a very important piece of legislation passed, and even in a divided Congress, if anything is going to bring Americans closer, it is this type of legislation. We must do everything to help protect children. Hopefully, the Senate takes this seriously, puts politics aside for a day, and passes the legislation for the betterment of children, our country, and humanity.
