Ultimate Fighting Champion (UFC) President Dana White appeared on ESPN's "The Pat McAfee Show" on Monday. He shared his reaction to former President Trump's assassination attempt.

White had this to say about his immediate reaction to the news:

Obviously, [Trump is] a very close, good friend of mine, so I started freaking out.

White told McAfee:

This guy is almost 80 years old. The guy tried to blow his head off. And to have the reaction that he did when he got up, this guy has been a friend of mine for 25 years, one of the greatest human beings I've ever met. He's an unbelievable friend, and he's forever now the ultimate American badass.

He continued:

This is the former president and a candidate. Imagine if somebody took a shot at Biden or Obama or Clinton. It’s like, this is our president. If it happened to anybody, any of our presidents, every American on earth should be horrified by this and disgusted and upset and angry.

It was surprising to see ESPN air that interview, but the tide is turning, and it seems like even networks that oppose Trump's vision for America can't hide the fact that he has all the momentum at this moment.

White added that Trump is the "ultimate American badass."

Everybody wants to act like a tough guy, well when the sh*t goes down, you find out who tough guys are and who tough guys are not. This guy is the legitimate, ultimate American badass of all time.

He was very passionate about Trump, just as the majority of his family, friends, and supporters were following the news on Saturday.

After all the dangerous rhetoric from Democrats such as Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), among others; as well as President Biden. Now, they want to pretend that they did not spew that rhetoric and are thankful Trump wasn't severely injured, but one person passed away, while two others were hurt.

The people in power must lower the temperature, and we must unite. Disagreeing on policy is one thing, but calling a former President and current candidate for President a "dictator," "threat to democracy," and "Hitler" is dangerous messaging. Biden ran on that during the 2020 election and has utterly failed at uniting the nation.

Now, Trump is calling for unity and has stated in the past that he believes successful policies will heal the divide.
