The Trump campaign is wasting no time, as they are paying attention to the rumors of some Democrats and liberal media outlets who are pushing for President Joe Biden to drop out of the race after his abysmal debate performance.
They have pounced on those rumors and have already released two ads about Vice President Kamala Harris. Although other names have been floated, if President Biden agrees to step down, and as long as Harris stays in office, she will be the heir apparent.
One of the ads reads:
When you think about the Joe Biden you saw in the debate, ask yourself a question. Do you think the guy who was defeated by the stairs, got taken down by his bike, lost a fight with his jacket, and regularly gets lost, makes it four more years in the White House? And you know who's waiting behind him, right? Vote Joe Biden today, get Kamala Harris tomorrow.

Republican National Committee co-chair Lara Trump told Fox Business anchor Maria Bartiromo that Harris' polls are as bad, if not worse, than Biden's.
Joe Biden has said he’s not going anywhere. His campaign came out right after that debate and said not only is he not quitting, they have committed to do the debate in September as well, which is shocking to hear. But Kamala Harris polls just about as bad, if not worse in a lot of cases, than Joe Biden. And so, they have a huge problem on their hands. If they remove Joe Biden from the ticket somehow and they do not have Kamala Harris as their nominee, and they try to plug someone else in, Maria, it is literally going against our democratic process here in this country.
A new poll showed that no matter who the Democrats put forward from some of the names listed in the past, the result is the same because the policies are fairly the same, and at the end of the day, that's what should matter the most.

Lara Trump added a key point about Democrats potentially swapping out Biden for someone more vibrant:
If they decide right here in the 11th hour to plug somebody else in, and it’s not Kamala Harris, I can’t think of a bigger assault to our democratic process than doing just that.
That's nothing new for the Democrats. They don't really believe in democracy. If they did, they would have allowed former Democrat and Rep. Tulsi Gabbard to have a fair shot during the debates and 2020 primary process. They would have allowed Robert F. Kennedy Jr. a fair shot during the 2024 Democrat primary, and they wouldn't have tried silencing Kennedy by trying to keep his name off ballots in several states, as well as not allowing him to debate, for the American people to see who is best suited to become the next president.
The Democrats only mention democracy as a scare tactic, yet don't want to give the voters a chance to hear from people with varying opinions and go as far as trying to keep candidates from appearing on the ballot. That is a direct threat to democracy.
