One of Trump's Maryland Delegates Won't be Going to the Convention

After all the hubbub about delegate selection and Ted Cruz’s delegate game, and the controversy about whether Trump would get a full slate of delegates in Maryland in particular, one of Donald Trump’s hard won delegates won’t even be going to the convention.

Don’t be too hard on the guy, though, because he’s got a legit excuse: he’ll be too busy sitting in prison:

A delegate for Donald Trump from Charles County, Maryland was indicted this week on charges related to illegal transport of explosives, possession of a machine gun and child pornography.

In a press release on Thursday, the U.S. Department of Justice said that ATF agents began investigating 30-year-old Caleb Andrew Bailey after postal inspectors discovered a package with .50 caliber cartridges with M48A1 incendiary projectiles and other ammunition with explosive projectiles.

Court documents allege that Bailey also used a minor to produce child pornography, and that child pornography was found in his possession.

Bailey faces over 50 years in prison if found guilty of all charges.

Well, the good news for Trump is that it looks like he won’t really need this particular guy’s services at the convention, but man, could this have been embarrassing.
