Shedding the Light on the SEIU: Were it not for the internet, you might never know about America's most notorious union

Prior to the beating of Kenneth Gladney, the Service Employees International Union (or SEIU) flew under the public’s radar. Many Americans’ had never heard of then-SEIU boss Andy Stern and his merry band of purple goons*. Since the Gladney beating, however, the SEIU has earned the reputation once held by such notorious unions as the once mafia-controlled Teamsters or Longshoremen. Now, with the internet replacing the mainstream media as a major source where Americans get their news, tracking the bad actors inside today’s unions like the SEIU has never been easier.Take, for example, the story of the Connecticut nursing home patients who were recently put in harm’s way when the SEIU abandoned them for picket lines. Were it not for the internet (and a long memory), finding the story about the SEIU’s 2001 nursing home strike where “equipment and sterile medical supplies had been tampered with, patient identification bracelets were removed, drugs were missing and a door to a supply room containing oxygen had been glued shut” would have laborious, if not impossible. When ex-SEIU boss Andy Stern caused a civil war within his own union, since the events were in California, many people across the country would never have known about it were it not for the internet. Moreover, when Stern’s appointed thugs staffers engaged in illegal conduct such as the type described in the video below, many Americans would never have seen the type of intimidation, threats, and other egregious acts the State of California is charging the SEIU for having committed (against its own members).

.Were it not for the internet, most Americans would never have known about the SEIU playbook and how the union intimidates companies into succumbing to SEIU pressure which put into context Andy Stern’s off-handed remark: “If we cant use the power of persuasion, we will use the persuasion of power.”Were it not for the internet, America might never known that before becoming the President of the United States, Barack Obama had sworn his allegiance to the SEIU. Nor, would America have known that the SEIU was the union to thank for having “changed America forever” through Obamacare. And, without the internet, America would never know about the SEIU operative running the DNC and Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign. When the Marxist law-breakers of the Occupy Wall Street movement received the endorsement of the SEIU, if it weren’t for the internet, America might never have found out that the SEIU’s involvement with the Occupy Movement went beyond a mere endorsement to a secretive network that partnered with the occupiers. While we have the internet (and many more examples of nationwide misconduct**), unfortunately for America, there is no Bobby Kennedy in today’s Department of Justice who is willing to go after the SEIU like Kennedy did with the Teamsters’ Jimmy Hoffa* Note: Not all SEIU members are ‘goons.’ For those ‘non-goons’ of the SEIU who may be reading this post, you cannot be blamed for the actions of your SEIU bosses or the thugs within your union–even though, in most cases, it is your dues that are helping to fund those actions.**Related:
