Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton Struggle To Catch 'Em All

Both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton want to be the very best, like no one ever was. To catch voters is their real test, to get them to vote for them is their cause. In case you didn’t get it, that’s a reference to the Pokemon theme song, a game both Trump and Clinton are using to reach out to voters. I have to give them both credit, they’ve managed to take a game that made my childhood so amazing and turn it into something much, much worse.  2016 could not get any weirder.

Hillary Clinton announced today that she would be hosting an event in Ohio at a PokemonGO Pokestop (if you don’t know what that is, it’s a location in the game where you can obtain items like Pokeballs, eggs, etc.). The official event invite reads:

Join us as we go to the Pokestop in Madison Park and put up a lure module, get free pokemon, & battle each other while you register voters and learn more about Sec. Hillary Clinton!!! Kids welcome!

Clinton also stated “I don’t know who made PokemonGO, but I’m trying to figure out how we get them to have PokemonGo To The Polls”.

All opinions on Clinton aside, this actually would not be a bad idea. Many have suggested that Nintendo turn polling locations into Pokestop’s in an effort to get more people to go and vote, and it would probably work.

Donald Trump would not be outdone, however, and I can only assume his social media team took to 4chan to find this video that was posted on Trump’s Facebook page:

Again, if you aren’t familiar with Pokemon or PokemonGO, the ad shows the user capturing “Crooked Hillary” in their remake entitled “Crooked Hillary NO” much like the users capture Pokemon in PokemonGO.

It is very made clear here that both candidates are way too old to be talking about Pokemon, and their staffers have an affinity for bad puns.
