Kanye West is no stranger to headlines, particularly since he recently announced he would be running for president in 2020. Although the entertainer had not officially filed in any state and did not have a campaign team or any campaign filings whatsoever, he did eventually get on the ballot in Oklahoma.

A lot of people have had a lot of fun with the fleeting specter of a Kanye West run (not to mention a Kardashian-controlled White House) but the truth may be a bit more disturbing than the late night comedian fodder West has become.

Page Six is reporting that Kim Kardashian has been deeply concerned for the mental health of her husband in the past few weeks and is worried he may have stopped taking his medications. She has made no public statements about West’s health, but West’s struggle with bipolar disorder and depression are no secret and he has been consistently honest with the public about his mental health issues.

In a now deleted series of tweets, West told his followers Monday night that he believed his wife was trying to lock him up – presumably in some type of hospital.

“Kim tried to bring a doctor to lock me up with a doctor,” the rapper tweeted. “If I get locked up like Mandela… Ya’ll will know why.”

He then moved on to his mother-in-law, Kris Jenner, seemingly referring to her less-than-traditional parenting “style” in which she used her daughter’s sexuality to launch the entire family into reality superstardom.

“Kriss don’t play with me you and that calmye are not allowed around my children Ya’ll tried to lock me up,” the artist wrote.

West also added that “Everybody knows the movie get out is about me” and spoke about his wife being in Playboy.

“I put my life on my God that Norths mom would never photograph her doing playboy and that’s on God I’m at the ranch … come and get me,” Kanye wrote.

He then posted a screenshot of what appeared to be a text message to Jenner.

“This Ye. You ready to talk now. Or are you still ignoring my calls,” the text read.
