In 2015, David Daleiden’s Center for Medical Progress began releasing videos of their undercover work at Planned Parenthood.
These recordings shocked us to the core.
In them, Daleiden and others posed as individuals looking to purchase fetal tissue from the abortion industry giant. As the footage shows, employees of Planned Parenthood, including doctors, were more than willing to discuss the sale of aborted baby body parts.
Now, the Justice Department has officially launched an investigation into the “women’s health” organization and this grotesque – and illegal – practice.
Fox News reports:
Justice Department Assistant Attorney General for Legislative Affairs Stephen Boyd formally requested unredacted documents from the Senate Judiciary Committee…
“The Department of Justice appreciates the offer of assistance in obtaining these materials, and would like to request the Committee provide unredacted copies of records contained in the report, in order to further the Department’s ability to conduct a thorough and comprehensive assessment of that report based on the full range of information available,” Boyd wrote.
Fox News has learned that last month, the FBI first requested the unredacted documents from the committee.
…Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and Ranking Member Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., said they needed to receive a letter and be assured that the documents would be used for investigative purposes.
The letter, sent to Grassley and Feinstein on Thursday, is a rare confirmation by the Justice Department of a federal investigation.
Approximately one year ago, the Senate Judiciary Committee published “Human Fetal Tissue Research: Context and Controversy.” In it, Senator Grassley said the following:
“The report documents the failure of the Department of Justice, across multiple administrations, to enforce the law that bans the buying and selling of human fetal tissue. It also documents substantial evidence suggesting that the specific entities involved in the recent controversy, and/or individuals employed by those entities, may have violated that law.”
As expected, Planned Parenthood flatly denied any wrongdoing, urged no further action, and worked to smear David Daleiden and the CMP. They also insisted the videos were edited and worked to debunk them as useless anti-abortion propaganda.
Now, after failures “across multiple administrations” a federal investigation is moving forward.
Here’s a reminder of what CMP uncovered:
Hearts. Brains. Livers. Kidneys. Fully intact fetal cadavers.
All of these were “products” that Planned Parenthood was more than happy to procure and sell to the highest bidder. If Planned Parenthood charged $750 for an abortion and then made $75 a piece per fetal tissue (a figure that Lamborghini doctor used) that would be easy money. Why wouldn’t they? After all, they could do this and still be seen as a women’s health organization.
Win-win. For them.
The CMP videos are stomach-churning but reveal another layer of horror in the thriving abortion industry. Hopefully, this federal investigation will procure a victory and Planned Parenthood will – in some way – be held accountable for their actions.
