Race grifter Ta-Nehisi Coates called Charlie Kirk a "hatemonger" and got blasted by the likes of Megyn Kelly, Mark Halperin, and more, who proved Coates is the one spreading hate, not Kirk.
During his appearance on "The Ezra Klein Show" podcast, Coates felt obliged to wreck Kirk's legacy with a bunch of lies after the Turning Point USA co-founder was assassinated on September 10 on the campus of Utah Valley University by a suspected killer who was influenced by leftist ideology, like the kind Coates and his ilk spew when they label those on the right Nazis and facists.

Here's Coates' disgusting comment:
"I think Charlie Kirk was a hatemonger. You know, I really need to say this over and over again. I have a policy that rejects violence. That rejects political violence. I take no joy in the killing of anyone, no matter what they said. But if you ask me what the truth of his life was. And the truth of his public life, I would have to tell you it's hate. I would have to tell you it's the usage of hate and the harnessing of hate towards political ends."
It was obviously too much for some of the most prominent voices in the Independent/Conservative sphere, and political commentators let him have it, bringing receipts against Coates.
Megyn Kelly wrote on X, "There is literally no one whose opinion I would value less on Charlie Kirk's legacy than this race grifter hack."
On her podcast "The Megyn Kelly Show," she blasted Coates and said that Coates was "driving up the hate meter on rightwing thinking, which is what Charlie was guilty of,” by making these lies.
Mark Halperin went even further, dropping a host of F-bombs in his response. Warning: Profanity in the following clip.

"That guy was not speaking on a teleprompter, so maybe he regrets what he said, but [...] him," Halperin said. "Because this man [Kirk] was not a hater. Just not…And there's so much evidence on the public record. You didn't have to know him personally to know that he wasn't a hater."
"And this guy's [Coates] on the national town square talking bull *** about someone he didn't know," he added. "And saying really hurtful things. And the reason it matters…is because this is what's wrong with the desire for people to make money and get a claim off of saying false, negative things about people they don't know."
Podcast host Spencer Klavan wrote, "Charlie Kirk added more of a value to our culture on an off day than this feckless court jester has done in the course of his whole career."
Fox News Brit Hume added, "This tells you all you need to know, and I don't mean about Charlie Kirk."
New York Post columnist Karol Markowicz added, "Liberals desperately want to get back to the societal rules that they never play by. Not happening. I said what I said. Coates is hateful, has coarsened the discourse, and made our country worse."
Another person brought up Coates' book about the September 11 attacks when he dehumanized the first responders who were killed.
