‘X Isn’t Real Life’: CNN Data Analyst Floored Over Latest Trump Approval Numbers

CNN Data analyst Harry Enten was truly floored over the latest approval numbers for President Donald Trump, and, believe it or not, these numbers are post the drama over the essential closure of the Jeffrey Epstein case.

In a clip shared on Thursday from a CNN segment on X, Enten pointed out that he was genuinely surprised by the numbers given all "the complaints online going after Trump and the Epstein files."

"You might think his approval ratings were going down, if anything, they're going up," the analyst said, pointing to a graph that read, "Republicans who approve of Trump."

In the CNN poll taken between July 10 and 14, Trump's approval numbers went from his prior rating of 86 percent to 88 percent when the poll was taken.

As for the Quinnipiac poll, the jump was similar, with those approval ratings going from prior numbers of 87 percent to 90 percent.

"If anything, Trump's approval rating has gone up since this whole Epstein saga started. He is at the apex or close thereto in terms of his popularity for Republicans," he added. "Epstein files complaints or not."

"X isn't real life. Post-Epstein saga, Trump's approval with the GOP  (~90%) may actually be slightly up. He's at/or near his apex w/ the GOP," Enten's post on X read. "How? Just 1 respondent said Epstein was the top problem facing the U.S."

"Cong Dems, OTOH [on the other hand], are at their worst standing with Dems ever," he added.

The poll numbers follow the Department of Justice announcement that no Epstein "client list" exists and that he committed suicide in 2019. Following the announcement, rumors surfaced about drama between Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino. The White House issued a statement not long after throwing its support behind both of them.

The news for liberals follows more bad news for the Democratic Party after Enten shared the low poll numbers on Wednesday for the party's approval.

As my RedState colleague Bonchie reported:

Democrats are counting on a big victory in 2026 to bring their party out of political purgatory, but things aren't exactly going according to plan. CNN's data guru, Harry Enten, offered a "reality check" on Wednesday, citing the current polling numbers compared to what we were seeing in 2018.

The report went on:

Enten goes on to point out that the seat-by-seat analysis isn't favoring Democrats either, and that situation could get a lot worse for them very soon. As RedState reported on Tuesday, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has called a special session with the express intent to redraw the state's congressional districts. The expectation is for Republicans to pick up at least four seats, if not five. That alone could be decisive in 2024.

Editor's Note: President Trump is leading America into the "Golden Age" as Democrats try desperately to stop it.
