"Dilbert" comic strip creator and author Scott Adams shared heartbreaking news about being diagnosed with the same prostate cancer as former President Joe Biden, explaining that he is only expected to live until maybe "this summer."

Speaking on his "Real Coffee with Scott Adams" podcast, the legendary cartoonist said that he has been diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer. It is the same aggressive form of prostate cancer that former President Joe Biden's team announced on Sunday that Biden was diagnosed with.

"Some of you have already guessed, so this won't surprise you at all," Adams said. "But I have the same cancer that Joe Biden has. I also have prostate cancer that has also spread to my bones."

"But I've had it longer than he's had it," he added. "Well, longer than he's admitted having it. My life expectancy is maybe the summer. I expect to be checking out from this domain sometime this summer."

The cartoonist also talked about Biden's prostate cancer diagnosis "with metastasis to the bone." He said, in case you didn't know, when prostate cancer spreads to your bones, it's terminal. Adams shared that he had tried an ivermectin protocol and that it did not work at stopping the disease progression.

"So, it's not curable at all," Adams said. "It's a terrible disease. It's going to get very painful for the [former] president, if something else doesn't take him out first (referencing his age)."

The author later explained that "every day is a nightmare" and said the pain he was going through was the reason he had to stop doing his evening shows.

As our sister site Townhall reported:

And the pain moves around to different parts of my body. I've been using a walker to walk for months now. So it's basically intolerable. I'm glad I was part of the activism that got the law passed in California, so you can take yourself out. Now, I realized that for some of you, this is hitting you hard because you're hearing it for the first time. Weirdly, since it's old news to me, I've just processed it, so it just is what it is. I have to say that everybody has to die, as far as I know. And it's civilized that you know about how long you have so you can put your affairs together and make sure you've said your goodbyes and done all the things you need to do.

Adams launched his popular comic strip "Dilbert" in 1989 before launching a newer version in 2023 called "Dilbert Reborn."

Adams' heartbreaking news comes after Biden's team announced the former president had been diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer, RedState reported.

Former President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with prostate cancer, his personal office announced on Sunday.

"Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms," read a statement released by the president's personal office. "On Friday he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone."

"While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management," the statement continued. "The President and his family are reviewing treatment options with his physicians."

Following the cancer news, President Donald Trump and Melania were among the many leaders who expressed their sympathy to Biden and his family.

"Melania and I are saddened to hear about Joe Biden's recent medical diagnosis. We extend our warmest and best wishes to Jill and the family, and we wish Joe a fast and successful recovery," Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.
