The 2025 Met Gala kicked off Monday, complete with stars who forgot to wear pants and others who looked straight out of the fictional capital of Panem from the dystopian story “The Hunger Games.”

The theme of this year’s Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute benefit (Met Gala) was “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style explores the importance of sartorial style to the formation of Black identities,” per the Met Museum.

The outfits were just as crazy as ever, but what stood out was all the celebrities who completely forgot to wear anything other than their underwear.

It started with singer Lisa (born Lalisa Manoban), best known for her part with the K-pop girl group Blackpink. She stepped out wearing a lace sequin jacket with sheer tights and matching underwear.

She was followed by Disney’s live-action film “The Little Mermaid” star Hailey Bailey, who arrived wearing a sparkling black and white pin-stripped, double-breasted coat with a silver sequins bustier and no skirt or pants to go with it.

Pop star Sabrina Carpenter seemed to go along with a bizarre trend when she showed up sporting a chocolate-colored jacket with long tails and a matching body suit. But that’s it.

Singer Doja Cat arrived wearing a similar look, but with a black pin-striped jacket and yellow and black bodysuit.

Actress Kerry Washington had a twist on the risque trend of the night when she sported a low-cut white jacket and a totally see-through skirt.

Actress Halle Berry's look might have been the craziest when she opted instead of wearing no pants for a dress that had completely sheer panels with no underwear at all.

"Justified" actor Walton Goggins also opted for no pants, arriving at the Gala in a floor-length black jacket and black and white striped skirt. Yes, you read that correctly.

Diana Ross broke her 22-year Met Gala hiatus on Monday, wearing what might have been the most “Hunger Games” look of the night, wearing a silver gown with an 18-foot train, with a giant feather-trimmed hat.

Not to be outdone, actress and host of “The View,” Whoopi Goldberg, wore what appeared to be a dress with a jacket sewn into it. She topped it off with a giant black top hat.

Former Vice President Kamala Harris also stopped by the gala, which had a ticket price of $75,000 and was invite-only. She wore a floor-length black and white cap gown.

As mentioned above, “The Hunger Games” references to all the bizarre, over-the-top looks were not missed by many on social media.

“The MET gala is the epitome of capitalism. Rich celebrities who have shown nothing but complicity with their silence towards Palestine, and while they wear multi-million dollar dresses, people are dying of hunger on the streets in every city,” one person wrote. “May they reap what they sow.”

Another added, “#MetGala Tonight is the party; Tomorrow the start of the Hunger Games. The freaks look like citizens of the capital.......”

A third person continued, “#MetGala is like watching the real-life version of the capital in the Hunger Games. These people are bizarre and gross. I don’t know why anyone still cares.”
