Vice President JD Vance and Second Lady Usha Vance’s kids won the day Monday during the family’s trip to the Indian capital, Delhi,  when the three children arrived sporting traditional Indian attire.

In a video posted on X by India's CNBC-TV18, the VP and his wife stood at the bottom of the stairs of the plane as their kids, Ewan, Vivek, and Mirabel, exited the plane and won “hearts by embracing Indian culture, donning traditional outfits,” the outlet noted.

Their two sons wore yellow and blue Kurta-pyjama while their young daughter donned a blue dress inspired by Indian ethnic design, the outlet noted.

Shortly after the VP’s family arrived, they visited the Akshardham Hindu temple in New Delhi and were expected to tour the iconic Taj Mahal monument and the 12th-century Amer Fort — a UNESCO world heritage site — during their visit, the Associated Press noted.

During Vance’s four-day visit to the country, the vice president is expected to speak with India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi to talk about trade deals amid President Donald Trump’s tariffs.

The visit “presents an opportunity to negotiate a new and modern trade agreement focused on promoting job creation and citizen well-being in both countries, with the goal of enhancing bilateral trade and supply-chain integration in a balanced and mutually beneficial manner,” per a statement obtained by the AP from Vance’s office.

Vance’s family trip to India comes after they traveled to Italy ahead of Easter, where the vice president briefly met with Pope Francis at the Vatican before the pontiff’s death was announced on Monday.

"Thank you for seeing me. I pray for you every day," the vice president told the pontiff. "God bless you."

Images from Vance, Usha, and their kids' visit to St. Peter’s Basilica for Good Friday service have gone viral, showing the Vance children being just like all young kids at church, squirming and struggling to stay still during the mass.

In one video, one of his sons rests his head on the pew. Another video post noted how the VP and his wife looked just like other parents with young kids, as JD goes through the service holding his daughter in his arms, while Usha took turns with one of their sons, holding him and keeping him focused on the service.

“JD Vance walks into St. Peter’s Basilica, holding his babies to honor the Lord on Good Friday,” one X user wrote. “One of the most powerful men in the world is glorifying not himself, but the real King: Jesus Christ. This is what real leadership looks like.”

Another added, “This is legit. JD and Usha Vance could very easily outsource their parenthood to appear powerful and put together... Instead, their kids join them to celebrate the Passion of Jesus on Good Friday and they fight the good fight of every young family at church. This is the way.”
