During the confirmation hearing held for Senator Jeff Sessions, questions came up about his role in the Trump campaign and how he might handle himself should an investigation into Hillary Clinton’s e-mail server lead to indictments. Here’s his response:
I’ve given that thought. I believe the proper thing for me to do would be to recuse myself from any questions involving those kind of investigations that involve Secretary Clinton that were raised during the campaign, nor be otherwise connected to it.
It’s a good response and the kind of moral, responsible action you were expect a responsible, ethical attorney general to make. It’s definitely not the answer of an attorney general who would openly meet with the influential husband of the subject of said investigation.
Hint hint.
