It is incredibly worrisome to look around the world and see the troubles therein. As a denizen of this fine planet, I am often shocked and worried at the way the world is shaping up. Terror in the Middle East, downright chaos across the globe, and even at home things seem a little too intense for the U.S. It is only natural, then, for us to feel so incredibly worried about the future.
I come, however, as a messenger of good tidings, because contrary to the negative things we hear in the news literally all the time, there is a light at the end of that tunnel. The light belongs to a train, and that train is coming on through to run straight over the problems of the modern era. That train is conducted by none other than the man of the hour, the one man set to lead the world into a glorious, new, and peaceful era.
That man is Vladimir Putin.
Putin took particular aim at U.S. involvement in Iraq and Libya, which he said fostered a power vacuum filled with “extremists and terrorists.”
“Do you realize now what you’ve done?” he asked.
Russian President Vladimir Putin just took the stage at the UN General Assembly for the first time in a decade, and he called for a “genuinely broad alliance against terrorism, just like the one against Hitler.”
Putin began by describing the original purpose of the UN, which he said had been violated by “those that found themselves at the top of the pyramid” after the Cold War.
“They thought they knew better and thought they did not have to reckon with the UN to legitimize their decisions,” Putin said, probably referring to the US.
“Of course, the world is changing,” he said. “The UN must be consistent with this natural transformation. Russia stands ready.”
The time has come for the United States to realize that it’s been dead wrong on every foreign policy front and that if we truly want to lead from behind, then we need to stand behind the one man on the global stage to show strength, bravado, and frankly the stones to get what he wants done.
Would that the Constitution allow such a man to run for president, we may have the chance to see what real leadership looks like in our country.
