A Disturbing Casting Call

Via The Daily Caller, this is a story that, in my mind, is more horrific even that the stories of fetuses being burned as fuel.

Emily Letts, a counselor at a New Jersey abortion clinic, decided to film her own abortion and post it on YouTube as a form of positive inspiration to women who are contemplating having the procedure but worry that they might feel guilty afterward.

Letts has no such guilt. She recalls the procedure with fondness. She even describes it as “birth-like,” and said it made her feel good, just like giving birth would.

Letts, whose job involves encouraging women to have abortions, sees her own abortion as an entirely positive experience, and hopes the video will prove to be both instructional and morally persuasive. She feels better about herself every time she watches the video, according to Cosmopolitan.

I don’t know what degree of godlessness you have to have in order to not only film the slaughter of a child but feel fondness every time you re-watch it. This snuff film is considered perfectly fine by abortion advocates, who have fought for years to normalize abortion, and with people using footage of abortions to persuade others to jump on into this cesspool of filth, the decline of man is ever so much more prominent. I won’t link to the video. The Daily Caller did, though I would’ve never thought to link to it. It’s much like the media spotlighting mass shooters, giving them the attention they long for. But, it’s also the Caller’s job to report on this kind of thing, and editorial decisions can be complicated.

ThinkProgress is praising this woman for her film, saying “Letts’ story helps demonstrate the fact that abortion isn’t a barbaric procedure that needs additional regulation in order to make it safer,” while NARAL is looking to silence crisis pregnancy centers through Google, which Breeanne Howe discussed at greater length earlier today. It’s stories like this one that can take a socially liberal millennial (like me circa a few years ago) and get them to realize how horrific an injustice this kind of practice is.

These people don’t just urge you to take a life. They urge you to share your experiences in the greater glory of the sins of the flesh. I do wonder, in the meantime, if she allowed herself to get pregnant for the sole purpose of making this snuff film.
