Ghislaine Maxwell’s lawyer has indicated his client’s placement on suicide watch may lead to his requesting a delay in her sentencing, currently scheduled for Monday, June 27th. From the New York Post:
“If Ms. Maxwell remains on suicide watch, is prohibited from reviewing legal materials prior to sentencing, becomes sleep-deprived, and is denied sufficient time to meet with and confer with counsel, we will be formally moving on Monday for an adjournment,” Attorney Bobby Sternheim wrote in a letter to U.S. Circuit Judge Alison Nathan.
Maxwell, 61, hasn’t been able to “properly prepare” because officials at a Brooklyn federal prison abruptly put her in solitary confinement and informed her she was on suicide watch Friday, the letter said, according to Reuters.
As part of her suicide watch, her regular clothes, toothpaste, soap and papers were taken away, Sternheim said.
The story contains this curious comment:
Maxwell was put on suicide watch though she “is not suicidal,” according to her attorney. A psychologist evaluated Maxwell and backed up that assessment, according to Reuters.
Um … come again?
Given the, shall we say, somewhat suspicious circumstances under which Maxwell’s partner Jeffrey Epstein was murdered committed suicide in prison, one would think that all involved would be doing everything necessary to avoid any appearance of Maxwell receiving suspect treatment. Apparently, this isn’t a priority, and all involved desperately hope the current Supreme Court stinkbomb outrage is sufficient to quell any queries.
A huge question hanging over all involved parties is why Epstein and Maxwell’s client list naming names of who visited their île de la perversion remains unavailable. Elon Musk has wondered the same.
Only thing more remarkable than DOJ not leaking the list is that no one in the media cares. Doesn’t that seem odd? pic.twitter.com/JEK4TErABB

One would think if there were sufficient — or any — conservatives on the list, it would have been front-page news forever. A puzzlement.
Or, considering some of the names bandied about (*coughbillclintoncough*), perhaps not, as our Mike Miller detailed earlier this year.
The “remarkable lengths” to which Team Hillary went, as reported by Daily Mail, to hide Slick’s escapades (sexcapades?) were understandable from the perspective of a ruthless woman who would — and damn near did — do virtually anything in her unabashed and insatiable quest for power. But, morally?
Never mind. When were the Clintons ever moral in their politics?
Anyway, now that “talk on the street” suggests two-time loser Hillary will once again attempt to scale the presidential mountain in 2024, how “unfortunate” that the issue of Willie’s relationship with his pal Epstein — and whatever it entailed — is again making headlines.
Toss in Epstein’s girl Friday Ghislaine Maxwell’s recent conviction on charges of sex trafficking and conspiracy to entice minors, and Prince Andrew being stripped of his military titles and official use of his “His Royal Highness” nonsense by Queen Elizabeth in light of a U.S. civil suit over sexual assault allegations with at least one minor on Epstein’s island — and this whole thing could not be more fun.
As they say, stay tuned.
