On Friday, President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to talk about his beautification of D.C. monuments and to call out the vandalism occurring at the Reflecting Pool.

We’ve cleaned, renovated, and beautified over 45 Monuments and Memorials, 28 Statues, and 22 Fountains in Washington, D.C. Things are really looking good in our Nation’s Capital, and add to that the fact that when I became President, Crime was rampant, and now, Washington, D.C., is one of the Safest Cities anywhere in the United States. However, we’ve had some real problems with Vandalism at the beautiful Reflecting Pool, which sits between The Washington Monument and The Lincoln Memorial. Just like three days ago, they destroyed the grass outside of the Pool, they’ve also done everything possible to hurt the inside surface that was just installed. No different than the chemicals that were used on the National Mall, they used something similar in the Reflecting Pool to try to destroy and demean our beautiful work. Lightweight ABC Reporter, Jonathan Karl, was seen sticking his hand into the Pool, and trying to rip the rubber off of the surface. The algae is 75% gone, and the condition will soon be completely remedied, and the area that was vandalized, fortunately, is just a small area of damage, and will be fixed early next week. It’s a shame that the Radical Left Lunatics, most likely Dumocats, who have spent their lives trying to ruin our Country, are free to do so. Law Enforcement is actively investigating this situation, and will hopefully have it resolved soon. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

One wishes this were one of Trump's famous trolls or jokes. Sadly, it is not, as this group of "Team Algae" mounting a daily protest at the Reflecting Pool demonstrates. Journalist Emily Miller documented this and even interviewed one of its participants.

The mask was the first indicator that this woman is not well. The second indicator is that this woman is protesting in 90-plus degree heat in favor of algae formation.
The level of mental illness displayed over Trump's efforts to simply make a national monument as beautiful and serviceable as possible for the residents of D.C. and our national and international tourists is absolutely tragic. Yet, everyone from legacy news media to activists is displaying ridiculous levels of Trump derangement as they work overtime to gaslight, ruin, and tear down the work that has been done and is being done. All because it was Donald Trump who chose to do this work.
It's demented.
Some people resent Trump calling this out and have tried to deny that it is not due to sabotage that the blue paint is peeling and algae is rapidly forming. Miller not only documented the rehabilitation of the Reflecting Pool, but also keeps tabs on the maintenance efforts to keep it clean and beautiful. Miller also maintains a front row seat to the unhinged Left being kooky.

On Miller's Substack, she says she regularly runs around the area of the Reflecting Pool. On Friday morning, she captured this bicyclist making an attempt to tear away the blue paint surface of the Reflecting Pool. The miscreant was stopped quickly by the National Guard, and D.C. Metro was called in.

This obviously senior man has the nerve to be surprised that they arrested him. One commenter alleged he is riding a $15,000 dollar bike. At this man's age and station in life, to be able to afford such an expensive cycling instrument, he really should have known better.
Mess Around, Meet Reality. If this man and others actually got out of D.C. and into nature, connected with loved ones, and found a healthy obsession like bird watching, they would be better off. Trump living rent-free in your head and affecting your actions is no way to live a life.
