As our editor Bob Hoge so ably reported, a woman named Tish Hyman went on a profanity-laced rant at Gold's Gym after she was subjected to a beans and sausage display in the women's restroom, just as she stepped out of the shower, soaking wet and naked. Of course, the person in question, Alexis Black, claims to be transitioning; therefore, according to California law, Black can use whatever bathroom suits their identity.

After Hyman's rant went viral on social media, she was barred from the Gold's Gym. What happened to "Believe all women"? But thanks to her bravery and willingness not to let this issue go, Hyman has made the legacy and new media rounds to decry the utter wrongness of it all and is calling for people to join her in her fight and take action against the ridiculous laws that encourage this voyeuristic behavior that makes women feel unsafe, and puts them in harm's way.

On Friday, Hyman appeared on Fox News' "America Reports" and spoke truth to power: Men do not belong in women's spaces, and the lies that cause this abuse and confusion have got to stop.

And with media attention comes media scrutiny. In a New York Post exclusive, the publication discovered that before Alexis Black transitioned, Kyle Grant Freeman assaulted his then-wife, ironically also named "Alexis," and fractured her jaw. The real Alexis required surgery to repair the damage.
You cannot make this stuff up.
The transgender person caught up in a viral Los Angeles gym bathroom row had been convicted of assaulting their now-ex-wife while living in Ohio as a man — before taking the victim’s first name as their own.
Alexis Black ran afoul of women at a gym in Beverly Hills, including singer-songwriter Tish Hyman, who accused them of exposing himself and harassing her in the locker room.
Black, formerly Grant Freeman, pleaded guilty in 2022 to savagely beating his wife Alexis Freeman, causing a compound fractured jaw among other serious injuries.
“Kyle Grant Freeman caused serious physical harm to the victim. The victim suffered a compound fractured mandible, which resulted in her needing surgery,” said court documents from Hamilton County, Ohio.
Black was sentenced to a year in prison, minus time served.
Only a year? One has to wonder about the domestic abuse laws in Ohio. How twisted do you have to be to think it's a great idea to take your abused ex-wife's name as your transition name? But it gets worse.
Black had been convicted of both domestic violence and drug trafficking in the past, and has faced a slew of other charges, including resisting arrest, records show.
It is curious that taking cross-sex hormones and playing dress up has done nothing to remove what is, on top of the mental illness, a clear hatred of women. Gold's Gym still allows Alexis Black to prance around the women's locker room and traumatize more women. Hyman is doing her workouts elsewhere, but will use her newfound platform to call for the laws to be changed.
She has an uphill battle ahead of her, though. California refuses to change its laws, even putting female prisoners at risk by housing them with abusive, biological males who claim they are transitioning despite reports of abuse and assaults by these trans male prisoners. It appears that, like Virginia's governor-elect, Gov. Gavin Newsom is quite happy to defend the rights of transgenders over the protection of women.
God help us all.
