More tools in the toolbox for fixing the illegal invasion are being employed now that the Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has taken the Biden administration's "Catch and Release" policy off the table.
Now, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents are commissioned to arrest illegal immigrants at their court hearings.
Fox News senior correspondent Bill Melugin reports DHS will target those illegals who have entered the country within the last two years and will schedule them for expedited removal.

@FoxNews that they've started arresting illegal aliens at their immigration court hearings nationwide and are placing them into expedited removal. We are told they are targeting migrants who crossed the border illegally within the last two years. DHS moves to drop their immigration cases, then they are arrested after leaving court, and they are placed into expedited removal. Expedited removal places the aliens into a fast track for deportation, allowing for almost immediate removal without a hearing before an immigration judge. Expedited removal can't happen if there is an active, pending case, which is why DHS is dropping them - which an immigration judge has to sign off on.
DHS tells FOX they are reversing Biden era catch and release policies and are enforcing expedited removal provisions that the Biden administration refused to.
DHS statement to FOX:"Secretary Noem is reversing Biden's catch and release policy that allowed millions of unvetted illegal aliens to be let loose on American streets. This Administration is once again implementing the rule of law.
Most aliens who illegally entered the United States within the past two years are subject to expedited removals. Biden ignored this legal fact and chose to release millions of illegal aliens, including violent criminals, into the country with a notice to appear before an immigration judge. ICE is now following the law and placing these illegal aliens in expedited removal, as they always should have been.
If they have a valid credible fear claim, they will continue in immigration proceedings, but if no valid claim is found, aliens will be subject to a swift deportation."
Ground zero sanctuary cities like Phoenix are already experiencing what immigration enforcement is supposed to be, and the activists are not happy.
Tensions flared in downtown Phoenix on Wednesday as more than a dozen demonstrators took to the streets, following reports that ICE agents had recently detained individuals outside a federal courthouse.
Video from Arizona’s Family shows what appear to be a number of federal agents including those from Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), detaining some who showed up for their immigration hearing.
More than a dozen protesters turned out to showcase their support for undocumented immigrants and to oppose immigration operations happening in the Valley in the wake of the Trump administration’s crackdown on illegal immigration. At times, the demonstrations turned tense and confrontational between protesters and those supporting immigration agents.
Several protesters also participated in chants voicing their disapproval of the arrests outside the Phoenix Immigration Court near 7th Avenue and Van Buren Street.
“No justice. No peace. No ICE or police,” one protester chanted before yelling an expletive toward federal agents in Spanish. Several others stood firm in voicing their opposition through signs and peaceful protest.
“We have seen over 20 families separated and rushed and funneled into vans, arrested in courtrooms, and shamed, said Monica Sandshaper, state director for Mi Familia en Accion, a Latino and pro-immigrant advocacy group. “This is unprecedented. This is unprecedented for folks who believe that this is a normalized, everyday behavior. It’s not.”
Progressive activist group Progress Arizona called the recent immigrations operations “deeply alarming” and claimed the children had also been taken away.
Cry me a Rio Grande, because no sane American is. This is what they voted for.
