'Rolling Stone' White-Knights for AOC and Hypocritical Democrats' Mania Over 'Billionaire Tax Cuts'

Ahead of more Congressional committee meetings to carve out the cuts and appropriations for President Donald Trump's "big, beautiful bill," the usual suspects and the legacy media are going full-court press on evil Republicans taking away your entitlements. This week's offering from Rolling Stone magazine, features an exclusive interview with AOC—Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), who sits on the House of Representatives Energy and Commerce Committee.

On Tuesday, this committee will do a markup of the text of the Budget Reconciliation bill, and Rolling Stone felt it necessary to document AOC's outrage over the plans within the bill as if the gospel truth were being delivered from Mount Zion:

As Republicans and Democrats prepare to face off about Medicaid cuts in next week’s Energy and Commerce Committee meetings at the House of Representatives, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is vehemently speaking out against threats to Medicaid.

“They’re robbing people in order to hand it over to the rich,” the progressive New York lawmaker tells Rolling Stone. “Medicaid is one of the largest insurers in the United States of America.”

Blah, blah, blah. The minute AOC, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, or any other Democrat opens their piehole to spout about Republicans robbing everyday Americans, taking away their benefit programs, and giving the money to their billionaire buddies, all I hear is the voice of Charlie Brown's teacher. But Rolling Stone assumed it was very important for you to know every detail from their perspective. Details that a Republican Congress and the Trump administration have already revealed. Poor Rolling Stone, late to the party, as always.

Republicans are considering a range of proposals to slash Medicaid, the federal health insurance program for low-income people and those with disabilities, in order to fund an extension of Donald Trump’s 2017 tax cuts, which disproportionately benefited the wealthy. Speaker Mike Johnson and House Republicans are trying to pass the bill by Memorial Day, but the Medicaid fight is a tough one for Republicans — particularly those in swing states or in red states whose constituents heavily rely on Medicaid. Nearly 82 million people rely on Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program for their health care coverage.

“They’re not just out here to cut health care for health care’s sake, they have an assignment,” says Ocasio-Cortez. “Their assignment is to cut the taxes of their donors, and to have giveaways to Big Oil, which financed their election, Big Tech, which financed their election, Elon [Musk], [Jeff] Bezos, etc.”

She continues, “In order to do that, you have to gut what is left of the health care and social safety net in the United States. They’re doing it because they have to hand over a bag.”

AOC knows about handing over bags, because her grubby little hands have been a frequent recipient of those bags. Just like her "Fight Oligarchy" partner Sen. Sanders, who has to spend taxpayer money on private jets because he is too important to fly commercial airlines, AOC has never met a billionaire she didn't like and who didn't handsomely fill her campaign coffers. The Washington Examiner exposed the skinny on who funds her campaigns, and it's not only everyday people who give small donations:

The congresswoman has an extensive record decrying the influence of money on politics. In 2018, shortly after winning office for the first time, Ocasio-Cortez criticized her party’s “refusal to reject [corporate] lobbyist money.” Since then, she has called to ban members of Congress from working as lobbyists after leaving office, rebuked fellow Democrats for their close ties to lobbyists, and accused lobbyists of working to kill legislation that would benefit the public.

While Ocasio-Cortez has harsh words for lobbyists, she has accepted donations from them every year since she first took office in 2018.

Dave Koshgarian, a lobbyist with Ernst & Young, has been Ocasio-Cortez’s most consistent donor, sending her thousands of dollars beginning in 2020. Koshgarian has represented a number of corporate clients, including Duke Energy, MetLife, General Electric, Charles Schwab, and BlackRock, according to lobbying disclosures. Other clients represented by Ocasio-Cortez’s lobbyist donors include, among others, Nike, Delta Air Lines, healthcare trade associations, and the New Venture Fund, one arm of a massive Democratic-aligned dark money network managed by the Arabella Advisors consulting firm.

Tell us again about who is protecting moneyed interests? Both sides of the aisle are complicit in this, but Democrats have made it into an art form while mucking up the system that they white-knight and claim they want to protect.

It is Democrats who monkeyed with Medicaid eligibility requirements during the COVID pandemic, so that any Tom, Dick, or Harriet could sign and collect benefits. Two-plus years of this have gotten the already broken system to the point where perfectly able-bodied and healthy Americans have pushed people who should be eligible--low-income individuals, indigent pregnant women, and people with actual disabilities-- onto years-long waiting lists.

ALERT:  Since 2021, 5.5 MILLION Illegal Aliens Acquired U.S. Social Security Numbers.

1.3 MILLION of these Illegal Aliens are now on Medicaid.

Some of these Illegal Aliens are Registed to Vote.

Some have ALREADY Voted in U.S. Elections.

They have been referred to Homeland Security Investigation Service for Prosecution.

Over the past four months, DOGE has revealed much about Medicaid, SNAP benefits, and Social Security being issued like candy to illegal aliens. So, the outrage of Democrats like AOC, who have been fully complicit in eroding these so-called social safety nets, is like white noise to anyone who has been paying attention. As per usual, Rolling Stone doesn't care, so it hasn't bothered.
