Texas Woman Threatens Judge Chutkan and Sheila Jackson Lee Over Trump Indictment

The deluge of Trump indictments is becoming too much for some people, to the point where they are choosing to take matters into their own hands. In a criminal complaint filed on Friday, a woman in Alvin, Texas, has been accused of verbally threatening U.S. District Court Judge Tanya S. Chutkan, who is presiding over the Trump D.C. indictments, and Texas Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee.

A Texas woman faces federal charges for allegedly threatening to kill the judge overseeing former President Donald Trump’s election fraud case and a Democratic member of Congress earlier this month.

In a criminal complaint filed Friday, federal investigators say Abigail Jo Shry, of Alvin, Texas, left a voicemail on Aug. 5 threatening to kill U.S. District Judge Tanya S. Chutkan and Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX). News of the complaint was first reported Wednesday evening by Bloomberg Law.

According to the complaint, Shry admitted to Department of Homeland Security investigators she left the voicemail, which began, “Hey you stupid slave" followed by a racial epithet and then proceeded to threaten to kill anyone who went after Trump. That list included Chutkan, Lee, “all Democrats in Washington D.C. and all people in the LGBTQ community,” investigators wrote.

“You are in our sights, we want to kill you,” Shry allegedly said at one point, later adding, “If Trump doesn’t get elected in 2024, we are coming to kill you, so tread lightly, b****.”

Oh, dear. Sadly, this is what conservatives, whether they like Trump or not, have warned about. Democrats and the Left keep pushing the envelope and ignoring the actual rule of law, and people will choose to become lawless. Right-wing nut jobs exist just like Left-wing ones. The difference between the two is that the Right generally takes these types of threats seriously and condemns them, while the Left either ignores them, downplays them, or tries to pin the crazies' actions on the Right. Look no further than the shooter who almost killed Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) or David DePape, who almost killed Paul Pelosi.

It does not help matters when the type of propaganda below is being peddled by the Left. An image is circulating around the Xosphere of New York Attorney General Letitia James, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, and U.S. District Court Judge Tanya S. Chutkan with the tagline, "These 3 Black Women Are Holding Donald Trump Accountable." Financial Entrepreneur and Black Business Network CEO Dr. Boyce Watkins rightly condemns this for what it is: pandering and utter nonsense.

It also has another consequence, maybe unintended, but more than likely not: It stokes the fires of those who are mentally unbalanced (no matter what their political leanings). These people then latch onto this message and push back against it in an unhinged manner. Whether Shry planned to act on her threat, we will never know. What we do know is that the Left uses these types of messages to drive individuals like Shry into a tizzy, to the degree where they choose to take unorthodox, potentially unlawful action.

The complaint charges Shry with one count of transmitting a threat to injure another person – a felony that carries a maximum prison term of up to five years. According to the complaint, although Shry admitted to making the call she denied any plans to travel to D.C. or Houston to carry out anything she stated, “adding that if Sheila Jackson Lee comes to Alvin, then we need to worry.”

And just like the Antifa goons that keep getting arrested, then released in order to keep enacting chaos, these threat actors also tend to be repeat offenders. Shry is Exhibit A.

On Monday, a federal judge in Texas ordered Shry held without bond during a preliminary detention hearing. Magistrate Judge Sam S. Sheldon’s detention order noted Shry has been charged four times in the past year for engaging in similar conduct, including at least two cases that resulted in conviction and 30 days imprisonment. According to Sheldon, Shry was also charged on July 11 with misdemeanor threat causing fear of imminent serious bodily injury and was on bond in that case when she made the alleged call to Chutkan’s office in D.C.

An attorney recommendation for psychiatric care would not be out of order. This woman clearly is crying out for help.
