Now That Roe Is Overturned, Sedition Is Now Acceptable

I am old enough to remember all the hue and cry over this picture of Missouri Senator Josh Hawley greeting a crowd of protestors with a raised fist, just hours before the January 6 Capitol breach.

There are Twitter accounts, actual PACs, and generally stupid people who think that THIS was a seditious act, because Hawley was signaling to the J6 protestors that it was time to attack and mount their “insurrection.”

Less of a dog whistle, and more of a flea fart.

These same brain trusts were (and still are) calling for Hawley’s resignation or his violent removal from office, whichever comes first. With this bunch, you know they are rooting for the latter.

Now that the Supreme Court of the United States has overturned Roe v. Wade, I want those same geniuses to explain this behavior:

WATCH:

NY Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), who lied through her teeth about how she was almost raped and murdered during the January 6 kerfuffle, has decided to take her time away from doing the job she was elected to do, to go up the street to the Supreme Court steps and protest against the Dobbs decision. But AOC did not just join the protestors, she LED THEM in a protest chant of, “Illegitimate” and, “into the streets.”

This is the same AOC who refused to condemn the firebombing of pro-life centers and defacing of churches by pro-abortion activists:

Which leads us to Calif. Rep. “Mad” Maxine Waters, who has never had a problem going on video and flapping her dentures to spew hate and nonsense. Waters has been called out on this a number of times, but House Speaker Nancy Pelosi refuses to condemn her behavior and censure her.

Waters also took time away from her important work as Chair of the House Finance Committee, to bounce over to the Supreme Court steps. All smiles, shucking and jiving, and playing to the news cameras.

“Hello everybody! Hello, young girls! We are fighting for you!”

No, you’re not. But do go on with your sideshow.

Waters ranted hard about the overturn of Roe and promised that Black women would be taking it to the streets to defy the ruling:

You see this turnout here–you ain’t seen nothing yet! Women are going to control their bodies, no matter how they try and stop us,” Waters said.

“The hell with the Supreme Court, we will defy them!”

“We?” Por qué? Sounds like seditious language to me.

As I said, this is not Waters’ first time at the rodeo. Neither is it AOC’s. If there was a smart Republican congressperson or senator not distracted by taking away our gun rights, then he or she could take the time to juxtapose the Joke-6 hearings happening on Capitol Hill, with AOC and Maxine Waters publicly encouraging sedition and insurrection. Is sedition only acceptable when it is used to take down Donald Trump and political actors the Left does not like?

Apparently so.

If that’s the case, let’s shut it all down. A legislative body that allows some members to run around willy-nilly, while others are stripped of committees and subpoenaed to testify in a kangaroo court is pretty much a farce.

Send in the clowns? Don’t bother, they’re here.
