Along with the usual red meat bon mots in Donald Trump Jr.’s CPAC 2022 closing speech, he showed his ability to improv. While leading into his speech, an attendee shouted at him about crack pipes. Trump Jr. rolled with it.

“Because you have to be on crack to think that they’re doing a good job.”

First volley, and it continued from there. Trump Jr. skewered the Biden administration, but he stayed in the vein of his signature laser-focus on the legacy media, which continues to prop up the Biden administration and push the agendas Americans are fighting against.

Trump Jr. paced the stage, and reinforced his verbal jabs with arm movements, a perfect counter to the laid-back speaking style of his father.

“What I’ve seen is not leadership,” he stated.

“There are certain things that we can’t pretend did not happen. Like the disgrace that happened in Afghanistan a couple of months ago.

“People understand strength. They understand resolve. They understand balls! Right now, our leadership has none of those things.”

This received uproarious applause, and an audience comment about Depends™.

But Trump Jr. rounded his argument with the fact that if Biden was not so abysmal, then Americans would not be awake to the destructive policies of the Democrats. And like Fla. Rep. Byron Donalds urged, Trump, Jr. reiterated,

“We all have a lot to do.”

When Trump Jr. pivoted to the focus on candidates that are in the fight, he gave a shout out to Harriet Hagerman, who is looking to primary Wyo. Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Egregious). But he skillfully brought it back to what will make the difference in 2022 and 2024.

“We need each and every one of you to be in the game 100 percent,” he encouraged.

“We need to be engaged, we need to be involved, we need to be all-in with every race.”

Trump Jr. stressed that this included the local ones, from school boards to dog catcher.

Trump Jr. paid homage to President Trump’s role in activating the people.

“That’s what Trump did, folks. He opened the door. We don’t have to fold under the narrative, we don’t have to lay down and die. You understand what is at stake.”

With another swift pivot, Trump Jr. paid tribute to the many young conservatives listening to the speech.

“Look at all the young people, too!” He exclaimed.

This received a huge round of applause, and a standing ovation as Trump Jr. preceded to reach down from the stage and glad-hand the young people in the front rows.

“It’s not easy being a young conservative,” he affirmed.

“You guys are the new rebels, you’re defying the culture. That’s why it’s awesome that you are here!”

Trump Jr. ended his speech with this encouragement.

“We are the party of inclusion. Of diversity, of ideas. So get out there and fight for it, because our constitution, our freedom, and our liberties are worth fighting for 100 percent.”

After Trump Jr. left the stage to a round of applause, he came back to introduce music artist Lee Greenwood, who had earlier been inducted into the CPAC Hall of Fame. Greenwood ended CPAC 2022 with his signature song, “God Bless the U.S.A.,” cementing another CPAC conference into the record books.

CPAC continues its new broadcast format of events with CPAC Dallas in August of 2022.
