The Silence of Kamala

The hosts and guest of Fox News’ Outnumbered brutally dissected Vice President Kamala Harris on Wednesday.

Dissected is too clinical: they eviscerated her.

Really.

WATCH:

Outnumbered co-host Emily Compagno so aptly stated, “Kamala’s silence is deafening.”

This deafening silence is particularly egregious when she rode into the vice presidency on a wave of praise, adulation, and expectation. Kamala was THE ONE, the shining light, the hope of little colored boys and girls of all ethnicities, creeds, gender persuasions… or whatever.

After the press anointed Joe Biden as President-select, CNN had an orgasm as they wrote:

Kamala Harris, who on Saturday became America’s first female, first Black and first South Asian vice president-elect, represents a new face of political power after an election all about who wields power and how they use it.

The California senator’s history-making win also represents the millions of women in the demographics — often overlooked, historically underrepresented and systematically ignored — who are now the recipients of that new power for the first time in the country’s 200-plus-year history.

Ten months later, Harris has been in hiding since the Fall of Kabul and the Taliban’s rapid takeover of Afghanistan. It is the Afghan women and girls who she claimed to champion who are now being overlooked, and systematically ignored.

In April, Harris bragged to CNN that she was the last person in the room when Biden made the decision to pull U.S. troops out of the country.

The interview is here, and further highlights another of Harris’ failures: Her  “Root Causes” Tour of Guatemala when she was hiding in plain sight pretending to be doing something about the crisis at the Mexican Border.

Harris’ response to the Guatemalan people was that she would give “people hope, that help is on the way.”

So where’s that hope to the Afghan girls who are being butchered, or auctioned off to the Taliban officers?

Where is her exhortation that “help is on the way”, when the Biden administration cannot even extract the American diplomats and embassy workers that are still trapped in the country?

A July U.N. Newsletter informs us:

More women and children were killed and wounded in Afghanistan in the first half of 2021 than in the first six months of any year since records began in 2009, a United Nations report revealed on Monday.

A particularly sharp rise in casualties occurred in May when international military forces began withdrawing from the country and fighting intensified following the Taliban offensive to take territory from Government forces.

Taliban officers are beating women for whatever reason they see fit, randomly shooting women and young girls, and dragging girls from their homes and forcing them into marriage.

So where is Harris’ help to these girls and women who do not know from one day to the next whether they will survive?

On November 7, 2020, Harris triumphantly gave a Vice-President-elect speech that was full of its own self-importance and virtue. In her affected, and overly breathy voice, Harris promised:

But while I may be the first woman in this office, I won’t be the last.

Because every little girl watching tonight sees that this is a country of possibilities.

And to the children of our country, regardless of your gender, our country has sent you a clear message: Dream with ambition, lead with conviction, and see yourself in a way that others might not see you, simply because they’ve never seen it before.

And we will applaud you every step of the way.

So by being MIA, what kind of message are you sending now, Kamala? What do you have for the little girls of Afghanistan other than these empty words?
