As GOP Conference Chair, NY Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-Firebrand) is already proving her worth, and showing why WY Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Egregious) was an abject failure, and why it was imperative she be replaced in that role.
Stefanik issued a statement on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-Cruella) decision to veto Rep. Jim Banks (R-Consistent) and Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Stalwart) from Pelosi’s January 6 Truth and Reconciliation/Trump Supporter Flaggelation Commission.

Mollie Hemingway outlines the incredible statement in a Twitter thread and prefaces it with three *fire* emojis:
Stefanik 🔥🔥🔥 on "Nancy Pelosi, the Radical Authoritarian Speaker of the House": "the Pelosi partisan Jan 6th commission was never about investigating facts, was only ever about Pelosi's radical politics and the Left's endless obsession with crushing any discussion or debate."

Stefanik on “Nancy Pelosi, the Radical Authoritarian Speaker of the House”: “the Pelosi partisan Jan 6th commission was never about investigating facts, was only ever about Pelosi’s radical politics and the Left’s endless obsession with crushing any discussion or debate.”
Stefanik does not accept the premise or narrative being sold about this commission; she immediately calls it for what it is, and calls out Nancy Pelosi for her actions.
This is in stark contrast to Cheney’s lapdog demeanor, as reported by my colleague Nick Arama.
According to the Daily Caller, she also went after McCarthy. “Any person who would be third in line to the presidency must demonstrate a commitment to the constitution and a commitment to the rule of law, and Minority Leader McCarthy has not done that,” she said.
Despite Pelosi’s actions, Cheney still claimed this would be a non-partisan investigation.
There is no equivocation or parsing of Cheney’s words on this. Cheney fully stands with Pelosi and her lies, and fully dismisses, and maligns her party’s leadership. Cheney stands with Cheney mostly, but we know what that’s about.
Lord, save us from these family political dynasties!
Hemingway continues with more on Stefanik’s fiery statement:
More🔥from Stefanik: "This commission is an absolute sham and has been a disgrace from the beginning; no amount of drooling excuses from the mainstream media will change that."

Stefanik: "What is Nancy Pelosi so afraid of? She is afraid of the American people finding out the truth that her failed leadership and the gross mismanagement of the U.S. Capitol led to the tragic events that day."

For sure, if Jordan had remained on the commission, he would have brought up the questions that he, and Reps. Rodney Davis (R-Stand Up), Devin Nunes (R-Patriot), and James Comer (R-Liberty) sent to Pelosi in a letter way back in February:
“When then-Chief Sund made a request for national guard support on January 4th, why was that request denied?” they wrote.
“Did Sergeant at Arms Paul Irving get permission or instruction from your staff on January 4th prior to denying Chief Sund’s request for the national guard?”
They went on to claim that Sund’s request “to over an hour” to be approved, which “undoubtedly included” Pelosi and her “designees.”
The Republican’s went on to slam the Speaker for her decision to fire Irving and demand Sund resigned.
“These decisions were made in a partisan manner without any consultation of House Republicans and therefore raise questions about the political motivations of your decision,” they wrote.
And, for sure, Jordan would be asking Pelosi questions about all that footage of the Capitol on January 6 that she refuses to release.
Pelosi didn’t want Jordan’s or Bank’s inquiring minds. Most of all, Pelosi doesn’t want the truth.
Hemingway concludes with Stefanik laying out Pelosi’s greatest fear—the American people demanding accountability from its elected leaders—and Stefanik’s demand that Pelosi be fired:
Stefanik: Pelosi "is afraid of millions of peaceful and patriotic Americans across country who are fighting for election integrity. She is afraid of her Republican colleagues who will work every day to hold her accountable for destroying this country and United States Congress."

Stefanik: "Time to Fire Pelosi once and for all. I have no doubt that after next November, Nancy Pelosi will never, ever hold Speaker's gavel again. She will make history as most despised Speaker of the House who will be fired not once, but twice. And it can't come soon enough."

BOOM! Emojis are often overused or used in the wrong context, but that is not the case here. Stefanik calls truth to power, and brings the fire as well as the fight where it is needed. Stefanik also stands in solidarity with not just Minority Leader McCarthy (R-Doing Better), but with Reps. Jordan and Banks, and their right to be contrasting voices on this commission.
It appears the Republican House Caucus picked the right person for the job this time.
