On Mass Shootings: Satan Is Busy, and the Left Is in Cahoots With Him

In the church I went to growing up, we used to have women we called the old mothers. They sang spirituals, they prayed, they dressed in all white, and waved white handkerchiefs as the choir sang. I guess they acted as watch-women over the pastor, the message, and the congregation.

Whenever a series of tragedies hit the world, or someone in the congregation, you would hear them say, “Satan is busy!”

It definitely fits for this week, with a mass shooting at a Spa in Atlanta, bookended by a mass shooting at a King Sooper grocery store in Boulder, Colorado.

What is Satan’s work? Jesus explained it in John 10:10 (NLT):

The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy.

There’s a ton of theft happening to the families and friends who have been robbed of a loved one. Then there are the customers, the patrons, people in the neighborhood who have been robbed of their peace of mind or their sense of safety. Destruction of family units, destruction of property, the list goes on. These types of incidents are evil. Just because the legacy media and the Left ignore the word, it doesn’t make it any less true. Evil exists, and incidents like mass shootings remind us of this.

But instead of acknowledging the evil acts and reporting on them as the stories develop, CNN is now floating this narrative of 7 Mass Shootings in 7 Days.

Sounds really awful, doesn’t it? An entire 7 days of mass shootings. It’s unconscionable!

Here’s the problem: Of the 7 shootings the article mentions, only two could be considered a mass shooting.

The Atlanta Spa shooting.

  • Five people involved in a drive-by shooting in Stockton, California. But none had life-threatening injuries.
  • A shooting in East Portland left four victims.
  • Five people shot outside of a club in Houston. One critical, one stable. The other three non-life threatening.
  • Eight people shot in Dallas. One person died.
  • An illegal party in Philadelphia left one person dead and five injured.
  • And then, of course, the Boulder shooting.

This comes off as a forced pattern. Stringing together random gun incidents and then slapping on the need for gun control cements it.

But, this is CNN.

While this was outside of that 7-day stretch (how convenient), CNN doesn’t bother to mention the mass shootings in Chicago. Why is that?

Because Chicago doesn’t fit the narrative. They have some of the strictest gun laws in the nation, but shootings are as prevalent as the deep dish pizza. Why is this? Shouldn’t more gun laws give you less guns?

It doesn’t work that way.

It happened just before the Monday Atlanta incident, and CBS News Chicago reported:

At least 40 people were shot in weekend gun violence in Chicago, and four of them had been killed.

The incidents included a mass shooting that left two people dead and 13 others wounded at a gathering in the Park Manor neighborhood early Sunday morning. A Chicago Police officer was also shot and wounded Sunday afternoon outside the Gresham (6th) District station.

President Joe Biden didn’t bother to address the nation about this incident. Frankly, it was just as, if not more, deadly than the Boulder one.

What up, Joe? Chicago doesn’t rate? Come on, man!

The report continued,

Police said there were 15 people shot in all. The victims ranged in age from 20 to 44.

I don’t recall seeing interviews with survivors, and commentary about how we need more gun control policies. In terms of lives lost, the Boulder story and this one are very similar. Where are the blue checkmarks blaming angry white men or white supremacy for the Chicago shootings?

Satan is indeed busy, and the Left is in cahoots with him. They use dead black bodies when the narrative suits their agenda, and right now it doesn’t. It’s the dead Asian and dead White bodies that they want to milk for their agenda.

Steal. Kill. Destroy.
