Gotta hand it to ABC News. They committed a random act of journalism.
The headline and subhead of a recent article read:
” ‘The mess we inherited’: Biden Leans Heavily on Trump’s ‘Warp Speed’ but Won’t Give Credit.”
“Biden has guaranteed vaccine supply using Trump-era contracts.”
Woah!
Who hacked the ABC Twitter account? https://t.co/2CNw66eLEA

I know, right?! Did Trump advisor Jason Miller hack the ABC News servers? What is going on here?!
Despite calls for national unity and bipartisanship, President Joe Biden and his top aides have declined to give the Trump administration credit on the nation's COVID-19 vaccine rollout while relying heavily on a system established by their predecessors. https://t.co/4TUdgJnzJs

“The mess we inherited”? Glad I wasn’t the only one to note the obvious falsehood of that statement. On so many levels. Come on, man!
In a statement released Wednesday, former President Donald Trump declared that if he hadn’t been president “you wouldn’t be getting that beautiful ‘shot’ for 5 years at best, and probably wouldn’t be getting it at all. I hope everyone remembers!”
While Trump’s statement is an exaggeration — development of the vaccine itself was largely a feat of private industry — it’s true that many of Biden’s public “wins” on the vaccine, including expanding supply and distributing doses to local pharmacies, are tied directly to efforts initiated by policy aides working under Trump before he left office. The new administration though has accelerated the rollout with an eye on inequities in the nation’s health care system.
“We’re delighted that more Americans are getting the vaccine,” said Paul Mango, former deputy chief of staff for policy at Health and Human Services under President Donald Trump.
“We just don’t understand why they (the Biden administration) have to celebrate it by trashing what we did,” he said.
While they are careful not to give former President Trump too much credit in the article, ABC does acknowledge that the victory lap that Biden is taking could not have happened had it not been for the Trump administration and the structure it left this administration.
I am not the only one that is shocked.
I must have woken up in an alternate universe….ABC News with actual journalism

In another random act, Twitter Pravda took the night off for some reason and allowed “Operation Warp Speed” to trend. You had your usual angry, leftist “fact checkers”, but much of the Twitterverse gave praise and thanks to the work of Trump and the Trump administration in creating the pathway for the rapid implementation and distribution of the COVID vaccines, and noted that Biden failed to give proper credit.
—> Operation Warp Speed launched on May 15, 2020.
—> The first vaccines was approved by the FDA on December 11, 2020.
—> The Biden Administration started on January 20, 2021.Stop trying to take credit for other people’s work, Mr. President.

Honored to have been on stage with President Trump at this event. The media and Democrats mocked us. Said we would fail. We proved the doubters wrong. #OperationWarpSpeed succeeded – saving countless lives! https://t.co/8dAh8QmHSF

A hopeful sign that journalism may be making a comeback? We shall see.
