The ‘Jim Crow 2.0’ Narrative Has Finally Been Exposed as Yet Another Race-Baiting Hoax

Well, it was fun while it lasted, right? It turns out that Georgia’s elections were much closer to Jim Eagle than Jim Crow after all despite the fact that high-profile Democrats and members of the activist media attempted to convince the American public that the state’s new election laws would drag us back to the days of Bull Connor.

Indeed, even in the leadup to the 2022 midterm elections, Democrats like failed gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams tried to prime the nation to buy into the “Jim Crow 2.0” narrative, using it as an excuse for her impending loss to Gov. Brian Kemp. But a new poll conducted by the University of Georgia School of Public and International Affairs revealed that black voters, in particular, had an easy time casting their votes last year.

About 73 percent of black voters reported having an “excellent experience” voting in the midterms, which puts the lie to the idea that Georgia’s voting laws would somehow discriminate against African Americans. Even further, this percentage is about equal to that of white voters who also reported having an easy time voting. To drive the dagger into the Jim Crow 2.0 narrative even deeper, 94 percent of black voters indicated that they were confident their votes were counted. In comparison, 88 percent of white voters said the same.

But wait – this can’t be true, right?

High-profile Democrats, including President Joe Biden, told us that the Peach State’s new election integrity laws would keep black voters from supporting their chosen candidates. They even compared those supporting the legislation to the likes of Bull Connor and members of the KKK. These people made it sound like Georgia was going back to the days of poll taxes and other discriminatory practices to stop black folks from voting.

A 10-year-old child could have seen that these folks were lying like crazy back then. There was nothing in the legislation that would have disproportionately made it harder for black people to vote. The voter suppression narrative was clearly a deceptive narrative – but many fell for it anyway. No amount of logic could persuade them. Even the fact that they could not explain with any level of specificity how the law’s provisions would impact black voters did not deter them. These folks wanted to believe this was the case.

But the writing was on the wall when exit polls showed higher voter turnout among all Georgians – including African Americans. This latest study has hammered the final nail in the coffin of the Democrats’ cherished Jim Crow 2.0 routine. Needless to say, the press is not going to give much – if any – attention to the findings of this poll. They will likely pull out the narrative again when they need another racist boogeyman with which to manipulate their audience. But facts, as they say, are stubborn things and the proof is in the proverbial pudding. Perhaps they might want to concoct a different lie next time?
