Houston Nutjob Hurls Hard Seltzer Can at Sen. Ted Cruz. Activist Media Silent

In the latest episode of “Democrats Have No Problem With Political Violence,” Sen. Ted Cruz was recently assaulted in Houston while participating in a parade celebrating the Astro’s World Series victory on Monday.

As the procession moved along the parade route, a man threw a White Claw can at Cruz as he rode in the back of a Humvee. The projectile struck the senator in his neck and chest, but he did not require medical attention.

“The Houston Police Department confirmed an arrest in connection with what it’s calling an assault,” according to ABC13.

HPD tweeted:

HPD made one arrest during today’s victory parade.  A male, 33, threw a beer can at U.S. Senator Ted Cruz as the Senator was on a float in the 2400 block of Smith St. The beer can struck the Senator in the chest/neck area.  The Senator did not require medical attention.

According to court documents obtained by ABC 13, a 33-year-old man named Joseph Halm Arcidiacono is the individual suspected of assaulting Sen. Cruz.

In his usual fashion, the senator posted a tweet thanking HPD for taking action while also mercilessly mocking the assailant:

As always I’m thankful for the Houston Police and Capitol Police for their quick action.

I’m also thankful that the clown who threw his White Claw had a noodle for an arm.

Speaking of which, what self-respecting Texas male would be caught drinking White Claw in public? It’s almost as bad as my colleague Brad Slager’s penchant for consuming Zima on the weekends. Perhaps that alone should be worth some time behind bars – for the White Claw guy, not Slager.

Shortly after the footage of the assault went viral on social media, left-leaning activist media outlets like CNN, MSNBC, and others gave it wall-to-wall coverage, lamenting the growing problem of political violence in America. President Joe Biden addressed the nation, calling it a “travesty.” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez lambasted the assailant for contributing to the nation’s toxic political climate.

Just kidding. None of that happened.

In fact, as of this writing, no mainstream left-leaning news outlet has picked this story up. Just like the case in which a man choked a Latina woman protesting against New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, the Fourth Estate couldn’t be bothered with giving the Cruz assault even a modicum of coverage. But what else would we expect from an establishment media that has become more focused on propaganda than reporting?
