The Supreme Court has spoken and Roe v. Wade has been aborted. The decision, which was handed down on Friday, was highly-anticipated after a draft opinion penned by Justice Samuel Alito was leaked to the public last month. This outcome was expected, but pro-abortion progressives are melting down on social media anyway.
Democratic politicians, members of the activist media, and pro-abortion advocates lamented the demise of their favorite Supreme Court case, viewing it as the end of one of their favorite sacraments – terminating pregnancies. Despite the fact that overturning Roe simply means states will decide how they will regulate abortion instead of eliminating the practice altogether, leftists are apoplectic, acting as if this will result in even more oppression of women.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said that “Today is one of the darkest days our country has ever seen” and claimed, “American women are having their rights taken by 5 unelected Justices on the extremist MAGA court.”
Today is one of the darkest days our country has ever seen
American women are having their rights taken by 5 unelected Justices on the extremist MAGA court
These justices—appointed by Republicans and presiding without accountability—have stolen the fundamental right to abortion

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) referred to Friday as a “horrible moment” and noted that “[h]alf of the states are expected to ban abortion.”
BREAKING: The Supreme Court just reversed nearly 50 years of precedent and overturned Roe v. Wade, ending the federal constitutional right to abortion.
We won't deny what a horrible moment this is.
Half of the states are expected to ban abortion.

Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) also chimed in, parroting the absurd claim that abortion is healthcare:
Abortion care IS health care. It was so before this. And it will remain so after this.
We don’t care what a far-right extremist Supreme Court that is in a crisis of legitimacy says. Your racist, sexist, classist ruling won’t stop us from accessing the care we need.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) sent her usual smoke signals in an attempt to encourage the pro-abortion crowd. She tweeted a video in which she argued that “a person’s control over if and when to have a child leads to healthy adults, healthy children, and healthy families.” She said that “extremists” opposing abortion “don’t care about health,” but “care about control more than they care about our fundamental constitutional rights.”
In the face of this dark post-Roe reality, I have three words: Hold onto hope. Do not give into despair. Here’s how I’m staying in the fight: pic.twitter.com/DqbZRKxCID

Actor Alyssa Milano went typical white progressive Karen and did what these people love to do: Drag black people and other “marginalized” communities into the debate. “Banning abortion is about controlling women and trans men,” she tweeted. “It is about white supremacy, the patriarchy and misogyny.”

It’s a sad day for America.

Planned Parenthood vowed to continue “fighting” for those seeking to terminate their pregnancies.
BREAKING: The Supreme Court just overturned Roe v. Wade, ending our constitutional right to abortion. We know you may be feeling a lot of things right now — hurt, anger, confusion. Whatever you feel is OK. We’re here with you — and we’ll never stop fighting for you.

Two-time failed congressional candidate Nina Turner raged against the Senate for refusing to do away with the filibuster to codify Roe into law. “F*** the Senate for not abolishing the filibuster to codify Roe,” she tweeted.

Last, but most certainly not least, Meidas Touch, an organization that creates leftist content, also said it was a “dark day” for the United States.

There will likely be even more wailing and gnashing of teeth on the interwebs and airwaves as progressives come to terms with the reality that states will now decide how they wish to handle abortion. Jane’s Revenge, a pro-abortion terrorist group, previously vowed that there would be a “Night of Rage” on the day that the Supreme Court handed down its ruling overturning Roe. Democrats have already been looking at ways to subvert anti-abortion laws. This ruling is a significant victory for the pro-life movement, but it is clear the battle is still far from over.
