Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was at it again during a Friday appearance on MSNBC when she claimed she avoided being near GOP lawmakers during the riot at the U.S. Capitol. She indicated that she did not feel safe being in close proximity to her colleagues on the other side of the aisle. In other words, the representative, like her comrades, is squeezing every drop of juice out of the assault on the Capitol building, and this was the best she could come up with off the top of her head.

During her appearance, AOC told media activist and Russiagate conspiracy purveyor Rachel Maddow that she chose to shelter in an “insecure location” instead of hunkering down with other lawmakers at a “secure location” because they are aligned with “white supremacists.”

The two discussed an Instagram live stream that Ocasio-Cortez recorded earlier this week in which she talked about her experience at the Capitol during the assault. In the video, she referred, without evidence, to some members of Congress as “QAnon and white supremacist sympathizers.”

Maddow, eager to set AOC up for some good ol’ fashioned race-baiting, asked why she felt unsafe around her colleagues.

“There are members of Congress who have made public comments, comments like that Muslim Americans should not hold public office,” Ocasio-Cortez answered, “they’ve made public comments that are quite closely aligned with the beliefs of white supremacists and white supremacist sympathizer organizations, and these are all public record. And, you know, people of color are not safe around any individual who, frankly, sympathizes with a white supremacist cause.”

To put this simply, AOC spun this tale in another naked attempt to paint her opposition as bigots. By pretending that as a person of color, she was not safe around GOP lawmakers because of racism and stuff, she is tossing a slab of red meat to her base, who absolutely eats this stuff up.

“It wasn’t safe. And the implications of that are quite dire,” Ocasio-Cortez continued. “To not be in a secure location because being in the insecure location seems like a safer bet than being in a secure location, I mean it’s — it’s pretty scary. And I can also say I was not the only member of Congress that felt that way.”

AOC has still not discussed where she sheltered during the riots, nor has she indicated who she was with. Nevertheless, the fact that she’s attempting to convince the world that in that moment, in which she claims her life was in mortal danger, she took the time to think about whether or not she was hiding out with white supremacist sympathizers is special.

It is also curious that the representative didn’t even bother to name these alleged white supremacist sympathizers in Congress. Indeed, she offered absolutely no evidence to prove her claim. But why would she be expected to prove her claims when the progressive wing has anointed her as their chosen one?

Sure, some of her most devoted fans might buy what she’s selling without critical thought. But nobody with an IQ higher than AOC can count actually believes this happened.

Oh well. Here’s to seeing what creative narrative these far-leftists will concoct next.
