Here’s What the Far-Left Means When They Use the Word ‘Healing’

The Democrats have found a new word to shove down our throats every chance they get. In the wake of the riots at the U.S. Capitol building, the left is trying to sell the nation on the idea of “healing.” They first began using this term ad nauseam after the activist media decided that former Vice President Joe Biden was the winner of the election and he started pretending that he was going to bring about unity.

It started again after Twitter did their mass purge of conservative accounts, including President Donald Trump’s, and both Google and Apple targeted Parler, an alternative social media platform that has become popular on the right. Sen. Joe Manchin lauded the move, implying that the censorship would contribute to the healing process. “Thank you @twitter for taking this action. We must come together as a country to heal and find a common path forward,” he tweeted.

Democrats like Manchin have been calling for this supposed “healing,” yet, it does not seem that anyone has stopped to ask: What do they mean when they speak of “healing?” How do they define the term in this instance?

To most folks, it would mean mending the bonds that were broken in American society. It would mean righting wrongs on both sides of the political divide and looking for areas of common ground on which we could build. Healing would be honest, but civil conversations between people of differing political ideologies.

But we all know that is the last thing the leftist elite would ever want.

Let’s take a look at everyone’s favorite socialist, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) to see what she believes healing is. In one instance, she said that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) should resign to bring healing because the riots were his fault and stuff.

But on Saturday, she posted another tweet outlining her definition of healing. She wrote:

Since it appears GOP leaders need a reminder:

There is no ‘healing’ from this without accountability.

And there is no ‘unity’ with white supremacists.

You know the President’s state has devolved dangerously. If you’re too weak to do anything about it, you’re too weak to serve.

If we were to translate this gobbledygook from leftspeak to regular English, it would sound something like “We won’t have peace until we punish everyone we hold responsible for the riots, which means everyone that doesn’t like us or agree with our views needs to be punished. And even after that, we can’t have unity with you because you’re all white supremacists.”

She’s not the only one making statements to this effect. Many of her comrades on social media and in the government are also calling for “accountability,” attempting to blame Republican lawmakers and the president himself for the riots. The reality is that these people want anyone they deem to be complicit in the violence to lose their jobs, as evidenced by a recent announcement from the Lincoln Project.

As you already know, the left’s definition of “healing” is “do what we say, let us punish you, and shut the hell up.” Unfortunately for them, we don’t plan to give them that type of healing, do we?
