Let’s face it, this has been a very bad, no good week for Democrats when it comes to the Supreme Court.

So let’s take a moment to appreciate just how badly they’re reacting to the retirement of Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy retirement.  The range of reactions spanned from the absurd to the sinister, with at least one fresh call for assassination.  I won’t dignify the worst by including of them here.

But these all are worth reading – if only to reaffirm what dishonest clowns these people are…

Here are the Top 10 Dumbest Democrat reactions (so far), in no particular order because, well, they’re all deserving of participation trophies:

  1. Chuck Schumer called on Republicans to observe the 2016 standard against nominating Supreme Court Justices in an election year.
Doh!  The Biden/Schumer rule applies in PRESIDENTIAL election years, and they should know, they invented it.  McConnell merely applied it in 2016, much to their chagrin.  Oh, and since 2018 is a mid-term election, it’s worth remembering Obama got Elena Kagan appointed in August 2010, also a mid-term.  Maybe that’s whataboutism, but don’t tell Chuck Todd because he fell for this idiocy and is desperately seeking his self-respect.
  2. Chris ‘Tinkles not Tingles’ Mathews declared on MSNBC that any Democrat who accepts Trump’s inevitable nominee as inevitable is doomed for defeat. Why? Because the angry liberal base demands this inevitable justice be blocked just because.  Missing from Tinkle’s tirade, directed at the hapless host, was not even a hint as to HOW Senate Democrats in the minority should accomplish said blocking.
  3. Chuck Schumer mustered a brief moment of patriotism and declared that Maxine Waters call to harass Trump administration folks is #notwhoweare or non-American, or something.  Why is that dumb? Because he’s lying? Nah, because he triggered Linda ‘The  Jihadi Queen’ Sarsour to remind us that MLK warned of racist white obstructionists like Schumer, saying they would hide behind moderation to keep the oppressed down.  Chuck ‘schmidgen patriot’ Schumer should have known better than to dare speak decorum or reason to Democrats in 2018 (Never Trumper fanbois are aghast at the stern rebuke from Brother Schumer).
  4. Bill ‘I killed and I liked’ Ayers said in response to Kennedy’s ‘shock’ retirement, “We say fight back. New times, new strategies, but the struggle for peace and freedom, Joy and justice continues. The people, yes!” So adorable coming from an unrepentant domestic terrorist with actual blood on his hands (but no cuffs).  Wonder what he means by ‘new tactics’?
  5. @Curtis_Cook tweeted, “I wish this Kennedy had been shot instead of the other ones” because apparently, wishing for the death of those who disappoint you passes for enlightenment now on the tolerant anti-Trump left.  Keep that in mind as the Democrats’ disappointments pile up in the coming months.
  6. A nameless Democrat on a conference call today said, “Oh my god” after hearing justice Kennedy retired.  Get this: Democrats who bash Americans for clinging to bibles and religion, who call Trump voters ‘retarded’ and ‘POS’, who mock Christians for their faith, now say the Lord’s name in vain upon losing the swing vote who protected Roe v Wade.  Who will protect the abortion mills now?.  Call me crazy, but Kennedy’s retirement feels like a Divine intervention, Planned Parenthood’s continued existence, not so much.
  7. Former President Obama’s sage advice from 2013 was retweeted today because 5 years ago he said: “If you don’t like a particular policy, or a particular president, then argue for your policy and win an election.”  Challenge accepted, sir. Careful what you wish for.Give that guy a hand. Bless his heart, he tried so hard to fundamentally transform America into a failed European welfare state.  He had the slow growth and growing long-term underemployment going for him but, alas, we’re on a different path now. So close.  If it wasn’t for those pesky voters in the mid-west.
  8. Former Senate Majority Leader (and alleged pederast) was retweeted today because 5 years ago he said, “Thanks to all of you who encouraged me to consider filibuster reform. It needed to be done.” Thanks, Reid.  You’re a doll.  Remember, it’s on you to prove you’re not a pederast, Harry.
  9. Not to be outdone, @Igorvolsky tweeted, “In light of the overwhelming evidence that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia to undermine our democracy and sway the 2016 election, there should be no confirmation hearing or vote on Justice Kennedy’s replacement until we see a full report from Mueller.” I can’t even. That’s a special kind of stupid right there. Twitter does one thing really well. It gives idiots a platform to showcase their ignorance for the world.  It’s disturbing someone that dumb is likely eligible to vote.
  10. @mattiek17 tweeted, unironically, “Literally in tears. Haven’t felt this hopeless in a long time. With Justice Kennedy leaving, we now have two options as Americans: get fitted for your Nazi uniform or report directly to your death camp. How do you fight the darkness without light? My spark is going out. #SCOTUS” Hint: Matt, you can’t fight a Nazi Darkness that only exists in your imagination.  But it might just drive you even more crazy.  Avoid sharp objects, okay? Maybe move to Canada and partake of the legal weed.

Other commitments today prevent me from cataloging more lefty insanity and idiocy for you, but you get the idea.

In light of this, George Will’s endorsement of San Fran Nancy Pelosi is all kinds of schadenfreude.
