Democrats don’t quite understand the connection between Trump and his supporters. They don’t believe that the throngs of people who flock to every one of his rallies and the excitement he generates can be real.
The ladies of “The View” were busy bashing all things Trump including his son Donald Jr’s Halloween costume which they all agreed demonstrated insensitivity to animals.
Regarding Trump’s decision to make Florida his legal residence, Joy Behar, donning a sweatshirt with the words “quid pro quo” printed on it, said, “When he lived in New York, New York did not vote for him. Now they’re going to get to know him a lot in Florida, they will not vote for him there either!”
Behar said she was happy that the Democrats would be providing transparency in the impeachment inquiry, because “now the whole country is going to see on a regular basis all the crimes that have been committed.”
The ladies then played Trump’s latest ad which shows men and women of all different races expressing their support for Trump and speaking out against his impeachment. The ladies all cackle when it ends.
“There was not one black woman in that ad! They couldn’t pay a black actress enough money to be in it,” notes co-host Sunny Hostin.
Behar tells the others there was just one fact in there. She insists, “It says nothing. It’s says nothing…To me that says that the Republican party thinks that their constituents are stupid because it says nothing. Those are all paid actors just like the ones who go to his rally.”
(Well, the ad brought in $3 million almost immediately, so they must have thought it said something.)
The left just doesn’t get it. I’ve watched several of his rallies and I find them amazing. Even from my family room, I can feel the emotion of the crowd. And it doesn’t take long for it to build. A few of Trump’s remarks and several rounds of applause, and it’s underway.
The contrast between a Trump rally and a Clinton or Biden rally is stark. Like most politicians, Clinton and Biden repeat the same rehearsed lines and receive polite applause. Trump wings it and he whips his audience into a state of near exhilaration.
That’s why Democrats don’t believe it. They’ve never experienced anything like it.
It’s real because the President himself is real.
