Texas Governor Rick Perry not only announced his candidacy for president at the RedState Gathering 2011 in Charleston, South Carolina today. He also released a new campaign video and has an event scheduled in New Hampshire this evening.

The terrific video is about Gov. Perry’s vision for getting America working again:

I even like the description the Perry campaign included with the video:

We will not sit back and accept our current misery … because a great country requires a better direction … because a renewed nation requires a new president. Well done Governor Perry, it’s a solid campaign launch.
