I've now watched the video I'm going to show you at least three times, and my brain is still trying to process the reality it exposes. It's kind of like the Grand Canyon, in a way. You know it exists. You've seen videos and pictures, heard facts about it, but then when you see it for yourself, your brain has a hard time processing how undeniably grand it actually is.

It's the same with this video. You've heard about suicidal empathy. Read articles about it. Seen its effects on society, but you've likely never actually seen the mentality of suicidal empathy displayed to you plainly in the wild.  What's more, this video is making the rounds while the Cornell fraternity rape case is dominating places like TikTok, where women are rabidly going after the men in the story, even as evidence trickles in that the accuser isn't remotely as innocent as they'd like to believe.

The video concerns a woman named Chloe Forero, who is using a personal experience to talk about what the Cornell case can teach "us." In her video, she casually discusses how, at the age of 15, she was raped by an illegal immigrant. I say "casually" pointedly here, not just because she talks about it in the same way you talk about getting a flat tire, but because she makes it clear that she and her rapist are still in contact, and that she had no desire to report him.

Why? Because if she did, she might involve innocent family members, resulting in them getting deported, and on top of that, she claims she doesn't think anyone would believe her because she agreed with him that they "were cool" because she was 15 and didn't know any better. When she finally confronted him months later, his response was "sorry" with a broken heart emoji.

Okay, so we all make really stupid decisions when we're young, but then she goes into something that made me want to yell at my screen.

She adds that he would go on to rape more girls just because she was raped, and that those girls he raped would also sustain the same "friendship" with him that she did. In other words, not one of these girls that this illegal migrant raped turned him in, and in fact, they continued to support and hide his crimes as others were raped.

She spends the last bit of the video talking about how we need to discuss rape culture more, pinning her and her friends' rapes on society with the idea (or at least what I can guess is the idea) that no one was going to believe the rapes happened anyway? I don't know, because the last part of the video was so vague that I didn't understand what she was trying to get at here. Maybe my head was still swimming with the fact that she admitted to allowing the rape of other girls to happen because she decided she didn't want to deport someone mainstream culture said was a victim.

I was holding out hope that maybe this was a bit, but she made a follow-up video effectively saying that the conversation she was trying to start was being derailed by right-wingers and bots, which is the usual response from a leftist who said something unforgivably stupid and is now facing the reality of their idiocy.

I've talked about suicidal empathy before. Back in January, we all watched as white leftist women in the U.S. clashed with Iranians who fled the Khamenei regime to America and were celebrating his death. As I wrote then, identity politics had so taken over the common sense of Western women that they'll go so far as to become confrontational to the point of violence to defend people who are their mortal enemies:

In fact, this woman has every reason not to be doing that, seeing as how Islamic regimes treat women as second-class citizens that equate more to property than people, don't allow them to be educated, and are more than happy to abuse and even kill them for stepping out of line.

Yet, like many radical leftists, she's been convinced that she owes a moral debt based on her identity and first-world privilege to the point where she's willing to have that level of suicidal empathy. She will stand in the way of the people who actually do have skin in the game to tell them they're wrong, and they need to go back to being oppressed and dehumanized because, in her mind, this is the moral thing to do.

Relating to the girl in the first video, she saw the "proper" and "moral" thing to do after being raped was to keep quiet, and remain quiet as the man who raped her continued raping more girls because his identity gave him the moral currency to do so. She fully admits that it destroyed her and that she struggled with it for years, but she said nothing — and, from the sound of it, continues to keep his identity a secret — because if she did, then she would be a bad person who got a family who was here illegally deported. A family, mind you, that raised a son who thinks raping girls is a fun hobby.

Sit with that idea for a moment and realize that you live in a country full of people like this. People who will let heinous crimes go unprosecuted and criminals walk free because they've been brainwashed by the left-leaning mainstream culture to believe seeking true justice against them would make them the immoral one. These people could stop these criminals with one report, but they choose not to, and these criminals go on to rape your daughter, or kill your son, or burn your house, or destroy something you love.

Their suicidal empathy is the soil for your great loss.

This is what leftism turns a place into. We focus so much on economics and social groups that we forget how deep the rot gets.
