I hate astrology, and I've hated it for years. Not just because God put it on a banned list of activities, either. There was always something about it that just made my skin crawl, and over the last five years or so, I've finally come to understand why it puts me off so badly.
I didn't know where to even start on why astrology is stupid, because I'm spoiled for choice as to why, so I'm going to start by showing you the latest video from a YouTuber named June Lapine, or as she's more popularly known, ShoeOnHead. Lapine braves the more ridiculous side of the internet, and this time she plunged into the psychosis around the Lindsay Clancy trial.
My loyal readers will have a full picture of the lunacy surrounding it already, but for those who need to catch up, there are bunch of women out there who aren't just defending Clancy's killing of her three small children, but are actively trying to see themselves in and relate to her to the point where they want her found innocent of all charges in one way or another.
This includes finding the husband guilty of the murders instead. They reason that Lindsay's then-husband, Patrick, must've somehow brainwashed her and gaslit her into thinking she did it when, in reality, he did it. What's the proof? There is none. In fact, there's on-camera evidence that Patrick was not at home during the time of the murders. Then, there's the small detail of Lindsay confessing that she did it, but I guess we're not going to believe all women anymore.
But as Lapine shows us, these women "know" Patrick did it because — and sit down for this one — he's a Gemini.
Before I continue, I want you to go back through these posts Lapine shows you and notice how many likes each of them has.
Lapine calls this segment of her video "star racism," and while it's a funny joke, she's being serious. As am I. Astrology is just a sort of racism that flies in the modern era, and one of the few that are approved of by leftist women, ya know, outside of racism against white people.
Astrology is often looked at as this fun little curiosity or even a hobby that can predict your future and inform you about how others will behave based on their star chart. In reality, it's the ridiculous idea that pre-destiny is real, and nobody is responsible for anything because their birth date dictates their behavior. This lack of accountability is, of course, only valid when it's the person letting a glorified fortune cookie dictate their life. Everyone else's actions are evil despite having the same behavioral dictation by massive balls of gas and giant floating rocks in the sky.
Lindsay is innocent because she's a Leo. Patrick is guilty because he's a Gemini.
You see how stupid that sounds? Now, swap out the made-up star beings for skin colors, and you'll see how fast it goes from being a stupid-sounding way to decide guilt or innocence to something that sounds absolutely backward and sinister.
It's just a different kind of racism, only instead of skin color, it's about a birth date.
But on top of that racism, you can see how stupid it makes people. It convinces people that the future can be predicted and seen, and that accountability can be dodged. It completely disconnects people from reality, and I don't mean in an escapist way. This isn't a hobby that lets you get away from it all; it makes you define reality through the lens of fantasy.
And the most important part of all this, I think, is that it habitually removes evil from the place of responsibility for evil acts. Suddenly, any negative behavior, whether it's just selfishness, rudeness, hatefulness, theft, assault, or even murder, is no longer the fault of the person but the fault of an invisible force we have no control over.
By that logic, there's no crime that can't be waved off with the proper application of star racism. Be as evil as you like; it's not your fault. Saturn was in the 5th House of Jupiter's Uranus.
The Bible forbids astrology (not by name but by action) on several occasions, and for a long time, I thought it was just because it effectively causes you to make idols out of stars. I mean, that's true and still holds up. Now, however, after seeing how people treat astrology in the worst of times, I can see another reason why God tells people it's not allowed.
It turns you into an unrepentant idiot.
Unless you're part of the Ethiopian Church, you don't consider the Book of Enoch to be Biblical canon. What's hilarious, though, is that Enoch says that among the things the "Watchers" (elohim who manifested as humans and made it with human women) taught humanity, astrology was one of them.
What does that tell us about history? Nothing biblically, but it does tell us that the act of astrology has been considered demonic for centuries. Thanks to this Clancy trial, that's become crystal clear.
