Lindsay Clancy's Insanity Defense Cannot Excuse the Murder of Her Three Children

If you haven't heard of the Lindsay Clancy trial yet, then I apologize in advance for raising your blood pressure.

To catch you up, Clancy is a woman who suffered from mental illness after the births of her children to the point where she sought out medical treatment. One of the issues she was having, on top of the insomnia and depression, was thoughts of harming her children. Doctors put her on so many medications it could subdue a horse, and after some time, it seemed as if Clancy had leveled out.

One night, she and her husband were at home with their three children, and Clancy sent her husband out to pick up some takeout for the family, as well as some medicine for their eldest daughter's stomach problems. While he was gone, Clancy lured her children to the basement and strangled them to death with exercise equipment.

They were 5 years, 3 years, and 8 months old. This event happened in January of 2023. The trial for the murders is now ongoing, and it's brought out the insanity of modern feminism in a way that honestly has me shocked.

As of right now, the defense is attempting to paint Clancy's actions as a result of her being insane.

The claim is that Clancy's postpartum psychosis is what led to this gruesome murder of her own children. To be sure, Clancy was in a horrific mental state. In some women, giving birth can play hell on your body's system, throw your hormones completely out of whack, and cause a level of mental instability. This is medical fact.

However, the idea that any of this excuses murder is so out of the realm of reasonableness that to use it for such is itself insane.

Joy Pullman at The Federalist put this very well:

The existence of mood disorders such as anxiety or postpartum depression, however, is zero excuse for murder. Billions of women have given birth in human history, many if not most have struggled mentally and physically afterward, and almost none have ever murdered their children as a result. If having a baby pardons murder, be back in a bit, I’ve got some enemies to off with my “I had a baby so I get out of jail free” card.

Hundreds of millions of people in human history have endured famines, war, loss of family, and other devastating tragedies without strangling their own kids over it. If we start excusing people for choosing to do wrong in response to wrongs done to them, say goodbye to your society right now, because we all have grievances. Some of us choose to respond prudently, and some wickedly. The prudent should be rewarded, and the wicked punished. This is very simple, and that it’s even a public debate is terrifying.

Pullman's point needs to be looked at a bit deeper. Her joke about getting away with murder using the excuse that she had a kid isn't actually that far from reality.

At least, I'm more and more convinced it's not, because Clancy is being heralded as the coming of the divine feminine. She's a victim of the patriarchy who broke free of her conditioning. Her sickness was a result of her husband failing her, not doing enough to lift a finger to help her, and subjugating her to the point where she went crazy and murdered her children.

Oh, and he actually did the murdering, according to them. I'd say the TikTok jury is still split on this one, but it seems the common consensus is that this is somehow the husband's fault.

Many modern feminists and anti-male women are standing with Clancy and loudly. They're engaging in some perverted je suis moment because they, too, have suffered depression after birth, and their husbands apparently didn't do what was necessary to make them feel better. Or, some women who've never had children are saying they stand with Clancy because they've been in relationships with men who were (insert pop-psychology word here).

The sentiment is wide and palpable, and the proof is everywhere. Gatherings are being organized. There's a GoFundMe that is approaching $1 million and has a goal of $2 million.

I'd like to say that this is just attention-seeking behavior. To be sure, a lot of it is. Modern feminists and the women in the anti-male o'sphere love to paint themselves as victims because it gets them validation and attention from strangers online, which gets the serotonin and dopamine flowing. They'd likely never kill their children... I hope.

But if Clancy is found not guilty by reason of insanity, then you can bet that Clancy's children won't be the last to die at the hands of their own mothers. Many more will perish brutally.

If this sounds like hyperbole, then allow me to remind you that, just recently, these same types of women stood around and applauded while another leftist woman signed a bill that would allow abortions to take place up to birth

I'd like to remind you that leftist women came out in droves and marched for their "reproductive freedom." I want to remind you that the right to murder a child has been a Democrat Party staple since well before I was born.

There are people out there who will see murdering innocent children who are already born and are well into their childhood as "freedom," because they were taught that their negative emotions are the result of wrongs committed against them, and they bear no responsibility for what they had to do to break their chains.

Again, this isn't me being hyperbolic. I'm just reading the writing they're putting on the wall.

If we as a society want to protect children, Lindsay Clancy must be found guilty of premeditated murder, which quite a few facts point toward.
