The Democrat Party, especially the modern one, has always made me more than uncomfortable. What they push is usually oppositional to my fundamental beliefs, whether it's transgenderism or higher taxes.
They like to dress up their agendas with language that makes them seem like they're the party of common Americans, but it's pretty clear by how often they pick up and drop groups like fashion trends that they don't actually have many values beyond achieving and maintaining power. They seem more than happy to dehumanize whoever they need to, in order to achieve that end.
Lately, the issues have gotten far too much to just be a simple disagreement about politics. The disagreement has now become something far more substantial than even that. The dehumanization has gotten to a point where violence is welcome at the table so long as it's violence against the right people. The thing is, "the right people" doesn't just mean right-wingers. Leftists are also welcome to die if it's for the cause.
You can ask Alex Pretti and Renee Good about that. Two martyrs that the Democrats wouldn't stop using when they thought they were effective at turning the public's approval around on ICE, and then haven't mentioned again since they found out it didn't.
What bothers me is something I touched on earlier in my last VIP. It's pretty clear that the socialist "insurgency," as Van Jones calls it, isn't just interested in all the flowery things socialists say they're for. Of course, radical leftists never truly expose their love of violence to enforce their will, but they're not exactly hiding it either.

From destroying Teslas because they don't like Elon Musk to intimidating innocents because they merely suspect they might be ICE, it's pretty clear the left is okay with destruction and violence. Moreover, their foot soldiers, Antifa, are becoming more and more daring all the time.
So daring that they're now shooting law enforcement officers.
As my colleague Bob Hoge wrote on Tuesday, Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib (MI-12), an elected American official, mind you, made it clear what side she was on when she expressed her outrage of a domestic terrorist who met justice for shooting a police officer in the neck:
These sentences are a travesty and totally unjustified, but that's the point. Americans hate the fascist Trump regime, so the only way they can try to cling to power is brute force. NSPM-7 is a grave threat to all of us and more bulls**t "terrorism" charges like these are coming.
To be clear, Tlaib is upset that a terrorist was brought to justice for shooting an officer of the law.

I think there comes a point where one stops being a terrorist sympathizer and starts being a terrorist, and one of those points is when you become an elected official who thinks it's pretty great when American law enforcement officials die. You're not just cheering them on or expressing disappointment; you're signaling that you're actively supporting violence against the American system, its people, and those who are sustained by it in a position where you can make a difference.
You are something like a terrorist yourself in that regard.
These socialists are clearly not safe. Everything they promote, whether it's defunding the police or "unrest in the streets, so long as there's unrest in our lives," they are aiming to push America to a point where violence is a common practice and an approved solution to their issues. That was made obvious when they tried to kill Donald Trump twice. It was cemented in stone when they killed Charlie Kirk.
And if that's the case, then the socialists taking over the Democrat Party are, by every demonstrable piece of evidence, the party of terrorism. I'm not sure how they would get around that.
If the response to a violent person getting sentenced to life in prison for the crime of shooting a police officer is anger, then one has to ask what the alternative they would prefer is. It sounds as if the radical Left would like officers getting shot in the neck, blown up, run over, or what have you, to be something that we just normalize, at least until the enforcement is something like that seen in the U.K., where the citizens are locked up for merely hurting the feelings of certain groups.
This is pro-terrorism. Plain and simple.
