I'm consistently blown away by the anti-Israel sentiment that floats around the internet. While no nation is 100 percent perfect, the hate directed at the nation is so overblown that conversations around it devolve into fringe conspiracy territory.
Take, for instance, this little speech from Megyn Kelly.
Kelly was speaking to guest Mark Halperin on her show when she got onto the subject of Tucker Carlson and his recent audience growth among the Muslim population because he defended Islam. It was during this moment that she suggested she, too, had been having something of a clarifying moment about Islam and that she didn't realize how good it was because, as she says, she was being manipulated by Israel:
Once he said that, he's sorry that he endorsed Trump. He regrets it and feels like he has to make amends. And his show is doing fine. It's not like he's hurting for audience. But I think understanding there may be some new listeners over here. You know, like, he’s gotten very, very popular lately, I read, with Muslim viewers, because he’s been standing up for Islam.
And I have to tell you, Mark, it’s been something I’ve noticed just since I’ve gotten sort of more clear-eyed on Israel that a lot of the anti-Muslim rhetoric that’s put out there originates with people who are very, very pro-Israel, who kind of need us to demonize them. And I’ve taken a look recently at my own rhetoric on this to say, like, ‘Have I been manipulated?’ I want to make sure I’m not getting manipulated.
Kelly went on to say that both she and Carlson may be losing the "Fox News audience" they garnered over the years by saying these things, but they're being replaced by Muslims and young men:
But he’s having a lot of Muslim viewers flock to him. I know for a fact he has a lot of young men flocking to him. And so while he may have lost some contingent of the Fox News audience that’s very, very pro-Israel, and, you know, pro-Trump, and you can’t say anything about Trump—for every one of those who leaves, there is another newer, younger audience member who does want to hear these traditional lines challenged and hear just new independent thinking. I mean, I’m experiencing some of that myself, and Tucker probably times 10.

Welcome to the Age of 'It's Not REAL Islam'
Let's pause for a moment, because there are some interesting things we can pull from this little moment.
For one, Fox News is a network that does come with frustrations. It's primarily watched by older audiences, so I can understand the need to try to find replacement viewers since I can imagine some of the fans they accumulated aren't translating to online subscriptions or are literally dying off.
If I'm hearing Kelly correctly, they found this audience in the Muslim communities and whatever anti-Israel part of the population that gets sucked up with this kind of rhetoric. If they're going to them to expand the subscriber base, then they've sold their souls to the digital devil.
But let's take another step back here, because what Kelly is saying reeks of desperation to attract this audience as well, and I can smell it through her talk about Israel.
She's suggesting the reason I and everyone else hate Islam is because Israel is manipulating us into it.
What a stupid thing to suggest.
I don't need Israel to tell me anything to dislike Islam with every fiber of my being. If Israel said absolutely nothing about it for an entire decade, my dislike of it would only grow, because Islam speaks for itself well enough.
This is a theocratic legal system that believes women are little more than slaves to be traded, bred, put to work, and beaten or killed should they step out of line even a little.
This is a belief that every nation, every culture, and every religion should either submit or be put down by the sword if they don't conform to it.
This is a religion that openly says they're trying to infiltrate, outbreed, and overtake other civilizations so they can destroy them from within and enforce their brand of despotism.
This is Islam and this is why it must be eradicated: “Our goal is to wipe away your religion and to replace it with Islam.” pic.twitter.com/mIYo8bPSIC

I would ask Kelly and Carlson a simple question.
Would you feel safe dropping your daughters off in Muslim-controlled areas alone and unguarded? Do you believe the chances of them coming out of that area safe and sound would be lower or higher than in a Christian or Jewish community?
What are Carlson and Kelly's thoughts about child marriages? Would they be fine if a Muslim man wanted to marry their daughters while underage? Because that's something you can do in Islam.
I have a feeling that if put into these situations, Kelly and Carlson would both show that their belief that Islam is actually kind of great would wither quickly.
If you ask me, I think their new anti-Israel sentiment is just putting icing on a cake they're using to attract viewers who are making them compromise every principle they have.
