Nick Shirley is a throwback to something society forgot about.
I think it's been so long since we've had real investigative journalism that truly challenged the upper echelons of power that what he's doing seems alien to our society. Of course, Shirley's activities are hardly a new concept. He's doing what the media is supposed to be doing, and that's digging under the dirt to find something that's become faux pas in the modern era: the truth.
To be clear, investigative journalists never truly went away. Our own Jennifer Van Laar is one such person, and her work has altered the course of American history without many people knowing about it. She might even be too humble to say that herself, but I will. Without her reporting, the RNC may never have changed hands, and Trump's election may not have happened, or at the very least, he'd be having to deal with a massive internal threat.
That said, Shirley's investigating is done in such a way that it can't be tucked neatly into a story within a story. His reports are put on video and placed where it's not just easily seen by everyone, but it forces the corrupt to address them openly.
But here's the kicker. What Shirley is doing is the standard for journalists and investigative reporters. It only looks special because the legacy media isn't doing it anymore, and the fact that what Shirley is finding is so jaw-dropping is proof positive that the media have abandoned the post for so long that if there were a dozen Nick Shirleys, they wouldn't get to the bottom of the fraud, waste, and swamp muck for a decade.
It's sad, to be honest, but this is where we are thanks to what Trump accurately called "the enemy of the people."

But what's even more sad is the fact that not everyone is happy to see Shirley coming. In fact, the entirety of the Democrat Party seems to be throwing childish temper tantrums over his arrival. To be sure, a lot of what he's uncovering has its puppet strings attached to the Democrats' marionette control bar.
No one's surprised by this. This has been pretty apparent since James O'Keefe was dressing up as a pimp and walking into ACORN offices, but that was a long time ago, and I think the public largely forgot how corrupt the Democrats are. They thrive in the swamp. They get kickbacks, dense voting blocs, and it all equals out to more power.
And I think we should sit on that fact for a second. The Democrats thrive off the entropy of Western civilization. Shirley's reports expose their efforts to erode and corrode our society from the shadows, and they are so angry about this that they've resorted to trying to shame, mock, and vilify him. As my colleague Bob Hoge reported, California Governor Gavin Newsom's X account guy tried to mock Shirley by making him seem like a creep who just wants to take pictures of children, only to be ratio'd into oblivion my Shirely, pointing out that what he's doing should, for all intents and purposes, help Newsom run his state better.
Newsom should be grateful to Shirley, but he has nothing but ire for him. The same can be said of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.
That's because Shirley isn't just exposing the fraud, he's exposing the strings attached to it, and they always lead to a Democrat at the top.
But this brings us now to what the left is willing to do to Shirley to shut him up, and that's put him in real danger, as you can see from a post about him on Reddit.

“Run him out of town” for what? Exposing fraud?
This is what happens when leftist paint you as a villain for doing something good for the country.
Fraudsters always complain the loudest.
No wonder many journalists don't expose fraud. The end-result could be actual harm done to them, and that makes what Shirley is doing all the braver.
But even this exposes the left in a way Shirley's reporting didn't necessarily intend. They are actively trying to stop him to the point where they're willing to hurt him. They're willing to defend their fraud and corruption — their source of power — by physically silencing someone from exposing the truth.
If the Democrats are working that hard to stop the truth from coming out, to make sure your taxpayer dollars are being used for their own benefit, not yours, then the Democrats are a pox on our civilization. Our society is dragged down and slowed from making real progress, all so these few people can have wealth and power at cost to you.
If you ask me, this is the most important thing Shirley uncovered.
