Like Marty McFly says in "Back to the Future," "I've seen this one. It's a classic."
No doubt, you watched as Democrat politicians stood in front of the Treasury Department and screamed some very charged phrases into microphones as people cheered. These phrases include "we have to fight this in the streets," and "shut down the city."
We are being told we're going through an "authoritarian takeover of our country," and that "we are at war."

All this because Elon Musk and DOGE are currently going through our spending and cutting out what is clearly waste and corruption. The Democrats really don't like that, which tells you all you need to know about them.
These are the kinds of things Democrats say when they want protests in the streets to begin, but as you know, it always goes so much further than protests. At some point, riots begin, and destruction and death follows. Despite Democrats knowing that people's lives are ruined whenever they spark these riots, they continue to push for them.
Rest assured, the push is being accompanied by plans. As my colleague Jennifer Oliver O'Connell reported on Tuesday, there's a "50501" plan brewing on Reddit, which translates to 50 protests, 50 capitols, one day. This protest will be "peaceful" (right), and they will be protesting for things like "racial equality" and "LGBTQ+," as well as your favorite and mine, "wealth equality."
So, communism.
Their demands include:
• For Donald J. Trump to step down or be removed from the presidency through impeachment or other means.
• Conduct mass investigations into politicians appointed by Donald J. Trump.
• Investigate Elon Musk's role within the US government and take appropriate action if any federal or state laws are found to be violated.
• Overturn or rescind executive orders that infringe on citizen and human rights.
• Strengthen laws on hate speech, including banning displays of Nazi propaganda or salutes.
• Reinstate diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) frameworks to promote better conditions for all citizens.
So, stupid crap.
None of these things on the list of demands are going to happen, but that's exactly what the left is hoping for. These things not happening will be an indication of a corrupt government filled to the brim with billionaires and Nazis, which will mean things have to be turned up a notch.
But why riot? Why would the Democrats do this if they know it would ultimately be bad for them?
Because at this point, it might not be. Democrats have their backs to the wall and not a lot going for them. As I've been covering this week, the Democrats are listless, leaderless, and have no real plan.

They're desperate for support, and believe it or not, starting riots is a great way to get some.
Starting riots has its benefits for the left. For one, it mobilizes its voter base and brings them out. It gives them a reason to be seen in the streets and make themselves appear to be a larger force than they actually are. This doesn't just encourage their base, the amount of people being seen uniting for a cause makes it seem like maybe the left has a point. It opens up others to listen to them and be indoctrinated.
The indoctrination part was easy to do since the Democrats had control of the legacy media. This is much harder to accomplish nowadays thanks to the cultural shift to free speech and platforms like X and Rumble, but despite this, the left isn't wholly defeated on the narrative front. All they need to do is find some issues the general public might find scary, and continuously beat everyone over the head with them as much as possible. This forces conversations that the left is prepared to have.
Even if you don't manage to win over a lot of people, you've still won over some, and you've gotten your base more fired up and ready for action.
This also allows for more donations to pour in, as well as funding from various donor groups.
Overall, the point is to generate momentum. The issue is that this momentum is generated through violence and death, but what's a little violence and death to the Democrats when money and power are on the line?
I expect to see Antifa to make an appearance sooner rather than later. The question is, what will the police do about it in those cities, and moreover, how will Trump react?
