Thievery, violence, and destruction have plagued the United States in a big way over the recent years, and a lot of that is thanks to the policies of Democrats who have decided that being soft on crime is somehow going to curb it. There were even suggestions that, instead of sending police, social workers should be sent in their stead.
Defunding the police became a fun pastime for Democrats. This caused crime to spiral so far out of control that even some of the bluest of the blue areas, like San Francisco, demanded they have their police force back.

Still, despite crime flooding the streets of blue cities and the people crying out for relief, the left continues to side with the criminals over the people, having been so brainwashed into believing that criminals are an oppressed class that they've completely lost the plot on society and will defend horrible people in the name of some misguided idea of morality.
No one understands that more than the criminal element, who have begun brazenly committing crimes in broad daylight. Shoplifters operate with no fear of reprisal. In fact, law enforcement agencies in certain cities declared that criminals can even steal up to a certain dollar amount with no worry.
Donald Trump has definitely noticed it, and he's displaying this as yet another reason why Democrats should be taken out of power. He's not wrong, but as he was talking about the issue recently, he suggested a solution that has the left wailing and gnashing teeth.
As described to a crowd during a rally on Sunday. After discussing the openness of criminals operating as they are, Trump suggested a solution.
“And the police aren’t allowed to do their job," Trump said. "They’re told if you do anything, you’re going to lose your pension; you’re going to lose your family, your house, your car. What the hell is going on? They’re not allowed to do it, because the liberal left won’t let them do it. The liberal left wants to destroy them.”
Trump said that all it would take is one day of incredibly rough policing to send the message.
“One rough hour — and I mean real rough — the word will get out, and it will end immediately, end immediately. You know, it will end immediately,” he said.
Trump advocates for “one rough hour of policing” to teach criminals that committing crimes is dangerous again.

I’m all in on this idea. pic.twitter.com/FcJNi5I2FD
Naturally, the left jumped all over this with the fury of 1,000 screaming, neon-haired, upper-middle-class college kids.
Apparently, it's awful that Christians would support a man who suggests something like this:
Ofc I'm tired of all the theft. Would I ever wish a day of violence? Absolutely not. Consequences, yes. Accountability, yes. Supervision, since it's a lot of young ppl acting out, yes. But one really rough hour sounds absolutely disgusting. Great hero you got there, Christians. https://t.co/DPhLyIl8HW

Another compared the police coming down on criminals to Kristallnacht, or the night of a Jewish massacre in Nazi Germany:
In PA today, Donald Trump gave one of the most dangerous speeches of the 21st century by describing his strategy for reducing crime as Kristallnacht, “one extraordinarily rough, one really rough nasty day. One rough hour. You know it’ll end immediately.”https://t.co/tR06J07hQ5… pic.twitter.com/Y0lYApPVDC

It continues on like this from the left, calling Trump's suggestion one of the most dangerous things he's ever done.
But is it? I would argue that the more dangerous thing is giving criminals the confidence to commit crimes, emboldening them to do worse with every crime they get away with. If anything, one day when police truly crack down on criminals and make examples of them, would go far in making others think twice when committing crimes.
This would never happen in blue cities, however. Not until the people get so fed up with the degradation of their towns and cities that they agree with Trump.
And perhaps, for some cities, that's going to come true sooner than later.
