Is Elon Musk Eyeing Disney?

Not long ago, I was watching as Elon Musk insulted, berated, and generated the platform known as Twitter. At the time, people were encouraging Musk to buy it. Then, after a long battle between him and the company, Musk walked into Twitter HQ carrying a sink. This kicked off one of the biggest cultural revolutions in recent memory, and helped change the socio-political landscape for what I'd argue is the better.

Now, I'm seeing the same pattern happen with another company, Disney.

Musk has made it no mystery that he's got it out for Disney. The company used to be one of the biggest advertisers on X, but as Disney does, it used something Musk said in an out-of-context way to cease all advertising in order to scratch its own left-leaning itches.

It's a tactic Disney likes to utilize from time to time, just ask Gina Carano...but I'll get to her in a bit.

Musk has been on the warpath against Disney, even before they dumped their advertising on X. In August of last year, Musk sent out a call to anyone who was once employed at Disney to come to him if they were fired for something they posted, retweeted, or liked on his platform and X would fund their legal bill. Funny enough, Carano noted that she would qualify.

Musk also advocated for Disney to lose control of Mickey Mouse to the public domain as well as a myriad of other pokes and jabs. It looks a lot like a boxer circling his opponent, wearing them down to open them up for a real hit.

And that brings us to Carano's announcement. On Tuesday, Carano announced that she was taking Disney to court over her firing. As RedState reported, Carano posted a lengthy note on X not only announcing her lawsuit but also getting into the details of why:

After my 20 years of building a career from scratch, and during the regime of former Disney CEO Bob Chapek, Lucasfilm made this statement on Twitter, terminating me from The Mandalorian: “Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm & there are no plans for her to be in the future. Nevertheless, her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural & religious identities are abhorrent & unacceptable.”

Nothing could be further from the truth. The truth is I was being hunted down from everything I posted to every post I liked because I was not in line with the acceptable narrative of the time. My words were consistently twisted to demonize & dehumanize me as an alt right wing extremist. It was a bullying smear campaign aimed at silencing, destroying & making an example out of me.

This was followed by Musk posting "Please let us know if you would like to join the lawsuit against Disney," indicating that Musk is now going in for a hard strike and would like for others to join in to make the hit that much more powerful. Indeed, the more people Disney has to pay for wrongful termination, the weaker that company becomes...and the less expensive it becomes.

Musk seems to be whittling down Disney, but the question is why. What is he setting it up for? Is it to purchase it like he did X?

If that's not Musk's intent, he's not doing a very good job of dissuading people from the idea. Libs of TikTok asked Musk to buy Disney and fix the company. Musk's response? See for yourself.

To be clear, this isn't a confirmation or denial of anything, but with Musk you can never take anything but a flat "no" as indicative of one.

Musk is a very calculating and driven man. If he sets his eyes on something, he gets it eventually. My belief is that he's moving pieces and creating events that would eventually lead to Disney on its back, ready to sell. It may take more than a few lawsuits and bad PR, but Musk seems to be finding ways to weaken Disney as much as he can.

Given, Disney isn't exactly helping itself by embracing leftist politics and releasing absolute garbage to the masses, and calling it "safe for modern audiences." Disney is probably doing more damage to itself than Musk can, but regardless, Musk is clearly speeding the collapse.

I don't see any other reason he would do that except buying the company.

And if he does, it would answer quite a few prayers and wishes.
