I'm convinced the "ceasefire" crowd has the same makeup as every other left-based protest group you've ever seen. Around five percent of the movement are grifters making money or consolidating power while the rest of it is made up of useful idiots who have no idea what they're asking for but sure are looking good to their peers while they do it.
As I've written previously, Israel has no "ceasefire" option. They're not up against an enemy that can be negotiated with as their opponents are a radical terrorist group bent on genocide. There's no choice here but to completely destroy the terrorist group and seize the land they operated on. Stopping the onslaught would be like ripping only half the weeds out of your garden. The weeds aren't going to learn their lesson, their single-minded programming will keep them multiplying.

For the grifter — and I do include Hamas in the grift column — the idea that Israel should stop warring against Hamas is just an attempt to allow the terrorist group to regroup, recoup, and retaliate. There is nothing that you could say or do to convince them that real peace can be achieved because peace is the most horrifying option on the table. They don't just think the "Coexistence" bumper stickers are a laugh riot, they're insulted that you ever thought they should live alongside Jewish people, to begin with.
The useful idiot is largely ignorant of this fact. They believe that Israel really is the bad guy because, as they've been programmed to believe, they see what looks like a bunch of white people mercilessly beating the pulp out of darker-skinned people and taking their land. It's a perfect combination of the modern idea of "colonialism bad" mixed with "war bad" and with a touch of racism sprinkled in for seasoning.
This would be hilarious if it wasn't for the fact that Hamas's entire modus operandi is destroying Israel and ruling over that land by conquering it through war all because they hate the Jews.
Still, they buy bumper sticker quotes like the one posted by former Ohio Senator and current race-baiting activist Nina Turner who wrote "You cannot war your way to peace."

That's like saying you can't sex your way into parenthood, but I digress.
You absolutely can war your way into peace and there's a tiny mustachioed man who could tell you all about that, or he would if his entire operation hadn't collapsed and been destroyed by allied forces back in World War 2, and he didn't end his own life as a result.
Adolf Hitler was, much like Hamas, a man hell-bent on bringing about a form of racial supremacy and terminating the Jewish people. There was no reasoning with this kind of madness, it can only be destroyed, and for a long while we were all pretty much in agreement with this.
We knew that evil needed to be destroyed and that bombs, bullets, and bayonets are, sometimes, the only way to achieve that end.
But if the useful idiot truly looks at all that they support, they'll find they still believe that war is the best pathway to peace. They certainly seem to have that mentality when it comes to the war in Ukraine. That's a war that, for some reason, the left is good with. They're willing to shovel as much of everyone's taxpayer dollars into it as possible because Russia is an evil entity that needs to be defeated.
A person with expertise in this matter will be able to tell you what would happen if Russia manages to seize Ukraine for itself, but one thing I do know is that it's highly unlikely that Russian troops will torture, rape, and kill Ukrainian innocents for the crime of being Ukrainian. While no one was ever conquered without some sort of atrocity being committed, Russia isn't trying to conquer Ukraine because it believes Ukrainians don't deserve to live.
Ukraine actually has a lot less to lose from losing their war with Russia than Israel does if they lose their war with Hamas...which they won't.
And they won't, not just because they're better equipped and better trained, but because they can't lose it. Losing means genocide. It means the brutal deaths of all Israelis. There would be no peace. It would only be crimes committed upon innocent civilians in a way the world hasn't seen since Hitler's concentration camps.
It's glaring hypocrisy that the left cheers on a war with far fewer stakes while demanding the cessation of another and aimed at one side in particular, where everything is on the line.
