Beto O'Rourke Continues to Reign as One of the Most Cringy Politicians Today

Robert Francis O’Rourke is the poster child of the modern Democrat.

He’s willing to use power to screw over constituents and enrich himself, he’s willing to blatantly lie about pretty much anything, he’s willing to do bombastic things in order to get attention, and all of it is wrapped up in a package of a man who tries very hard to look like a white version of Obama.

If it’s in vogue for the Democrat Party, O’Rourke is for it, depending on the region. If he’s in Texas then he’s totally going to respect your gun rights. If he’s on the national stage, then “hell yes” he’s going to take your rifles. If he’s back in Texas he goes mysteriously quiet about guns, but the moment a shooting happens in the state he’s right there banging the drum for attacking your Second Amendment rights.

He’s kind of a hollow shell of a man who pretty much adopts whatever the Democrat Party tells him to. He has no mind of his own. He is the very reflection of the Democrat Party’s ever-changing moral stances on any given subject.

This lack of being a person who has any kind of substance leads to some moments of severe cringe. This is the same O’Rourke that compared the people writing climate change proposals to the people who stormed the beaches of Normandy. This is the same O’Rourke who got downvoted in his own AMA on Reddit by the thousands. He shared a video of himself on Instagram getting his teeth worked on by a dentist…and beginning to change a tire…and trying to cook up a burger.

His cringe also gets a bit disgusting. When Gov. Greg Abbott was giving updates to the community after the Uvalde shooting, it was O’Rourke who showed up and tried to make a scene in order to benefit his campaign.

Somehow, the cringe rubs off on his fans too. I re-present to you this song some Austinites wrote and performed for him.

And then there was this…

And now the dude’s shouting “motherf***er” at people at his rallies because it’s supposed to make him look cool and forceful. Like a man!

Rest assured, some people are definitely going to buy it, but these are the people who are already geared toward believing anything Democrats say or do, no matter how obvious it is that it’s a desperate grab at attention.

According to polls, O’Rourke is still behind. As Newsweek highlighted, each poll showed him several points down:

Polling by University of Houston/YouGov from June 27 to July 7 showed O’Rourke trailing by 5 points. The Democratic candidate had support from 44 percent of likely voters and Abbot had the backing of 49 percent. The poll included 1,169 likely voters with a margin of error of plus or minus 2.9 percent.

A previous poll conducted by The Texas Tribune with the University of Texas at Austin showed the incumbent governor ahead by 6 points. Abbott was backed by 45 percent of registered voters compared to 39 percent for O’Rourke. The survey included 1,200 registered voters with a margin of error of plus or minus 2.8 points.

Another recent survey by CBS News/YouGov carried out from June 22 to 27 showed O’Rourke behind by 8 points. Abbott had the backing of 49 percent of likely voters and O’Rourke had the support of just 41 percent. That survey had a margin of error of plus or minus 4.7 points among 1,075 likely Texas voters.

Between now and November, it’s unlikely that O’Rourke will be able to make up the point difference. If he loses, then this will be the third time O’Rourke has failed to achieve the office he’s sought after. Outside of being a weird politician, losing is what he’s most famous for.
