Even SNL Has Gotten Into Pointing out that the Democrat Emperor Has No Clothes

It’s a once-in-a-blue-moon occurrence, but every now and again, the mainstream media will slip up and demolish members of the Democrat Party. It’s usually an accident with someone making an argument that openly contradicts the current narrative.

But lately, the media has been absolutely purposeful in its attacks on the Biden administration. It would appear that as the midterms approach, Democrats are attempting to move the blame for the damage the party has done to the nation to the Biden administration so as to insulate incumbents and candidates.

This means that media figures are free to, and maybe even encouraged to, begin pointing out the Biden administration’s flaws. This includes Saturday Night Live, which took a few moments during their “Weekend Update” segment to poke fun at the Biden administration in, not just one, but several ways.

Colin Jost and Michael Che began by pointing out that Biden’s approval rating is at an all-time low of 33 percent, mentioning that the new Sonic the Hedgehog sequel is doing far better, including the joke that Tails and Knuckles are two people Biden claims he fought int he 1960s.

Immediately after, they mocked Biden for shaking hands with an invisible person after his recent speech, joking that the invisible person is “Kamala” and asking when the last time people saw her was. They then proceeded to make fun of Biden in a picture with a mask hanging off of his ear for trying to remember where his mask was, then made a Ghostbusters reference in regard to Biden’s ghost gun legislation.

Other jokes included ones directed at Meghan Markle, jokes about inflation, and gay Ken dolls. To be honest, it was actually a pretty good segment, even for SNL.

Credit where it’s due, SNL has openly made fun of Biden in the past, but lately, it seems that they’re doing that because it’s safe to. It’s highly unlikely that these jokes would be made if we were in the midst of a presidential election, but regardless, these jokes made about someone other than the typical right-leaning politician are refreshing.

We’ll see if SNL goes further and begins poking fun at the wider Democrat Party in earnest but I wouldn’t hold my breath.
