Democrats are awfully quiet about something we should be celebrating.

Last week, President Donald Trump organized a peace deal between Israel and the UAE. Trump described the talks as “tense” at times but in the end, the two made agreements that many were long thought of as impossible.

Despite this being a long-sought-after thing in Washington for decades, the Democrats have gone strikingly silent.

Adam Kredo and Collin Anderson at the Washington Free Beacon noticed how quiet Democrats in Washington were being after Trump’s historic peace deal:

Nearly all of 2020’s top Democratic Senate challengers avoided making public statements about the agreement, which formally normalizes relations between the Arab nation and Israel. The U.A.E. is the first Gulf Arab nation to increase its relations with Israel, a move that sent shockwaves through the region and sparked anger from Palestinian leaders.

In the United States, the announcement was met with ambivalence by former Obama administration officials and outright hostility from Israel’s top critics in Congress. Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D., Mich.), a frequent Israel critic who has been accused of spreading anti-Semitic rhetoric, said she “won’t be fooled” by an agreement that she described as a “sweetheart business deal.”

The announcement puts Democrats in a tricky political position: While mainstream Democrats have advocated regional peace with Israel for years, they are hesitant to give President Donald Trump a win. Since Trump assumed office, the Democratic Party has argued that he is an irritant to global security. Yet the historic peace agreement between Israel and the U.A.E. shows that, behind the scenes, the administration has been working to broker an accord that will ultimately increase stability in the Middle East.

The Free Beacon reported that Neil Strauss, spokesman for the Republican Jewish Coalition, said that this is probably wise as it keeps Democrats from “exposing yourself as clueless.” The Democrats sought to achieve peace in the Middle East by taking the Nevil Chamberlain route of appeasement with dictatorial groups like those found in Iran.

The Israel-UAE peace deal absolutely exposes the Democrats’ foreign policy strategy of appeasement of Iran as a failure,” Strauss said. “President Trump’s strategy of maximum pressure and standing shoulder to shoulder with our trusted ally Israel, and the Arab states willing to stand up to Iran, is an absolute success.”

Under any other president, this deal would be making national headlines that wouldn’t come down from the front pages of news sites for days. Don Lemon and Chris Cuomo would be going on about it almost every episode. There would be calls for Nobel Peace Prizes to be dished out and the Democrat president would likely get one.

Why is the left silent?

It could be a couple of reasons and all of them are bad. The first and most obvious is that the left cannot give Trump a win, especially right now during election season. The dereliction of duty from everyone in the media to Washington elites in acknowledging this isn’t surprising or shocking.

The other reason is far more sinister.

The hard left that has taken over the Democratic party hates Israel. They make no attempts to hide it. The anti-semitic attitudes that the left is filthy with are the same that demand a socialist system takeover the United States as they destroy private property and claim themselves to be the good guys.

The left is enslaved to these people right now and if the left started praising Trump, especially for something like this, you can bet that campaigns would be launched by special interest groups and media figures to have them destroyed and removed from office.

The fact is that hate rules that party and peace was never the end-goal. It’s always been about the usefulness, and an Israel at peace with its neighbors is not only something that rustles their jimmies but it’s completely useless to them.
